2022 Mathews and Ball

Paul Bryan will probably make the Qld side.
3 quality forward who will be 19/20 next year.
They all deserve a firstgrade pre-season I think.
Bryan has been named in the QLD side, agreed all deserve to do pre season with the first grade side

I see Jonah Pezet made the 19s as well.
At the 16s level we had Pezet, Bradbury, Keely, Naigolivia and Fletcher Myers in the NSW squad who played Pasifica and Chris Vea'ila played for Pasifica.

I thought that country v city under 18s game must mean they were going to have an under 18s origin - but they must have had that instead of origin.
I thought our 3 boys in that game, Martin, Ferguson and Sharpe, all did will enough to make NSW.

Good to see that the under 19s origin game will be on free to air TV before the origin game.
If all three of our forwards make the final teams it will be a good chance to see how the match up against each other.

I'm going to say there is a typo in Eddie Hampson's profile for the Blackhawks - they have him listed as a centre/second row who is 188cm and 192kg. I suspect that should read 102kg - 192kg might make him a bit slow.
192kg might make him hard to get around - taking up alot of space.

Ethan Ferguson named in Australian Schoolboys side.
Not surprised.
He was our best player by a long way in Mathews last year, one of our top 4 or 5 in our very good ball side this year, and already looks completely at home in Flegg 3 years young.
His physical transformation has been impressive too. Last year he was compared to Latrell, partly because he plays similar, and partly because he was pretty chubby like Latrell. This year he is as fit looking as anyone.

I'm a bit surprised that Myles Martin isn't in too. He was one of the best on field in the Country/City under 18s.
