How do you know that AOb hasn't had a word to them , how do you know that they don't know exactly whats going to happen as far as each of them is concerned .

I don’t know, that’s part assumption but what would he have told those waiting in line “ if we sign someone your out but if not you might be in” if any were considered good enough they would be in the top 30 now and if not good enough then we still might have to settle for them anyway.
Pearce leaving late left us with a hole and recruitment has been poor with virtually only Gagai who obviously wanted to return being signed, I can understand the half back situation but other spots that could do with improvement should have been sorted much earlier.
 
Yeah man, I get the argument that there's not much out there, you should only sign someone if they're better than what we've got. But it doesn't matter, it's poor planning, we're a few weeks out from the comp and we're at least 3 players short. Are there any other clubs in this position? If we can't find anyone decent in the next 2 weeks and have to put rookies in there, what does that say about our hopes for this year. It'll be fine until a couple injuries start building up.

He had also spent the last couple years working with the Eels and young Brown hasn’t looked any better then he did when he first burst into the scene. Probably gone backwards if anything.

Remember seeing this a while back (see image below). Assumed at the time it was Brown. Definitely has a bit of an “up himself” vibe & you get the impression he’d kick stones when criticised.

To be fair, you could say the same about Moses and Gutho too, they all have that FIGJAM vibe, but those two at least are good players who’ve clearly listened & absorbed stuff from their coaches, and improved as a result.

But yeah Brown was sneakily one of the worst starting halves in the comp, playing behind a top 4 standard pack that dominated almost every team (so there was no excuse). Not the best advertisement for Joey’s coaching skills hahaha. Hopefully Moses’ performances are more reflective of what he can teach players...

He's at a point in his career where moving clubs for him is make or break on his career. Really should just back himself at the Dragons, have a solid season then revisit his contract.
 
He's probably not worth what he thinks he is. Our fair offer probably wouldn't be any better than the Saints offer.
 
I wouldn’t want to give him more than 400k for a year. People might not agree and think it should be less, but it’s only a year and we are desperate.
 
Prior to last year didn't he play less than 20 games in 4 years?

Not worth any contract to us imo. But we do seem to love a utility, so who knows.

There's other positions that should be prioritised for recruitment.
 
We seem to lack info of injured players this season.
Question, if we don’t sign the required number, 29?, by set date can we move players from outside the squad such as development players and then can we allocate others to those vacant development spots.
