2020 Pre Season and Trial Games

Triple M would of been better served posting this ******** rumour 6 months ago. Paul Kent could of got on his moral high horse bagging the club whilst ultimately blaming Gardiner.
Our fans would of bought into a lot better at that time aswell.

Headline says plenty of positions still vacant.
Text says Lino is still a chance to get a spot, but probably not.
The last starting forward position is between Guerra and Sione.
Shibasaki might get pushed out if someone stands out in the trials.
And Jake Saifiti might earn a bench spot.
In short - 3 changes are still possible - but unlikely.

Article also says most of the squad will get time in the trials and that the locked in players will only get about 30 minutes in the first trial and more in the second trial. The team for the trial will be named today.

Article says Barnett has mostly been training at lock and should start there, leaving a choice between Guerra or Sione for second row.
It says front row is locked in, Fitz locked in, Barnett probably at lock, leaving right second row - no mention of Glasby,

Glasby didn't do huge minutes last year, but he added a lot when he was on.
Maybe they are thinking about using him off the bench - or maybe Barnett will come off the bench for impact - we'll probably know if the name the team today in playing numbers.

Funny quote from Sione when they asked him about the rumour. He said they are so close they are almost kissing .... maybe Connor and KP.

It's interesting that Best, Crossland, Watson, Ponga and Saulo are mentioned as not being available because of injury or rep selection - but Tautau Moga is not mentioned or selected.
It won't surprize me if he has found a new club and we aren't saying anything during a cool down period.

It could be quite chaotic with 34 players to give playing time to. I guess a lot of changes can be made at the 20 minute breaks. The Canterbury Cup side might be quite light on for starters though.

If Best is injured/operation and something is amiss with Moga then you would have to put Hunt in as centre and Lee on wing and looking for another centre and winger from the rest.
