Really cant believe he got picked
Think this blues team could do with a bit of D. Saf
I get klem played the whole first half but you had to get him on after 20 minutes of the second half.
Great game by Ponga.
Dumb move to have Klem, Cordiner and Vaughn all off the field for the last 15.
Especially when there is only 3 props in the team.
NSW went to chit once he went off.
Cleary out, Pearce in.
Haas out, D Saifiti in.
Cotric out, not sure who in yet.
The second half he was much better, but geez he was average in the first half imo.
On a plus side, both Klem and Ponga will play friday night.
Every year we get talked up about having a better forward pack and end up getting beaten, Klem and Vaughn played well to start once they went off it all when south.
Bench was light on, needed at least one more strong prop to support Klem and Vaughan, Hass has potential but was to inexperienced to fill the void, by all means keep him but get another prop for support. Need to look at half’s, Cleary was ok, Walker was a bit lost, needs work or replacing, back 5 were good to ok, worst was Latrell, his poorest game in a while but to good to drop. Starting pack were good to great, Klem, but Qld to good on night.
Stuff that. I want our players focusing on us not this Origin crap.
As a big fan of Ponga, no way it was a great game. Very tired in the first half, didn't really play his style of footy, 2nd half was much better.
Klem was an absolute beast, don't know how you don't get him out there earlier in the second half.
NSW really lacking a half to close that game out.
I thought they just didn't use him well in the first half they were either giving him hospital passes or throwing it at his feet.
Agreed, I thought he was behind the game a bit in that first half. A bit off the pace. Better second half and he will only get better.
For mine he has overtaken teddy as the best fullback. Both are good attacking players but id backing Ponga in d every time, and he is safer with the ball in hand.
Plus Ponga had teddy for ball playing.
Unforgivable teddy dropping that ball running it back from his try line. Big moment.
Pearce has gotta get a shot, or even Reynolds if Walker stays in. Anyone but Cleary for the next game.
Also Ponga chipped his freakin tooth, ol mate went hard in that second half. Pure class.
Teddy was exhausted, 30 runs 270m.
But i think Ponga will take his Aus jumper within a tear or 2
I thought Klem was injured? Couldn’t find any logical reason for him to be off the field?
Our halves were poor. Not sure DSaf ready yet up front but Pearce and Keary is a must if we want to win.
Cleary said before the game his plan was to defend well and kick well.
He did a couple of good kicks but not when required. And at origin level you can’t get away with just defending. Especially when your other half is a debutante.
Pearce was exactly what we needed tonight but Pearce doesn’t need origin right now. It’s a shame for him but I think it’s best he concentrates on the Knights.
Would love D.Saf to get the experience. I think it would help him go to another level. But would rather save him for the knights.

Freddie deserved the loss. Two props required on the bench, both halves below par and Haas the usual performance of a Bronco picked for the blues.
