Upside for us is Ponga played on the right side of the field last night with a nice cutout try assist.
If he can do that for us and improve I can see Ramien and Skd getting alot of try's.

And Klemmers lack of 2nd half minutes could mean he play tomorrow.
 
The side should be picked on form and Cleary hasn't been in form and it showed …
They should hook Cleary and put Pearce at half he is the inform 1/2 in the comp and should get a run … If 5 man of the match performances ( and all in a side with Ponga playing ) don't get you in over a guy who is not playing his best at the moment then things are not right .
Walker says he wants another shot but looked like a deer in the headlights and Latrell Mitchel was crap and we all know how good he can be .
The way we have been playing we would have beaten that NSW side .
 
Strange feelings last night being a Blues supporter but still cheering for Ponga. Was a little off the pace in the first half & I was thinking have we finally seen Ponga get rattled, such a calm, cool & collected kid usually. But the important thing is he still wanted the ball in his hands, was still highly involved. A kid that gets rattled in that arena could easily go into their shell, but that's what makes him a star player, he wants the ball & wants to make things happen, he's not just gonna sit out the back, cruise along & let the game pass him by like so many other talented players can. And then the second half his class truly shone through & he announced himself to the world as an Origin player. Changes needed for the Blues.
 
Don’t know what Fittler was thinking last night. That bench rotation was appalling. Klemmer should’ve had a rest to end the first half and then come back on once the game evened out, seeing as he was our best forward. Latrell had his worst game in a while but is too good to get dropped. Walker was quiet and struggled to inject himself, Cleary defended well but didn’t take control of the team. I still can’t believe Wighton was picked, one kick for a charge down and threw the intercept for Gagai to win it. One of the worst debut origin games, Merritt-like. Cotric was pretty quiet as well. Hopefully Tedesco actually learns to pass the ball in game two, metres gained was freakish but did nothing most the time.

They need 4 props
 
As a knights fan I think we know best that you need more than one genuine prop on field at a time. Crichton is not a prop. Murray although very strong is not a prop. Early on the second half the Queensland pack was relentless with the line speed, its absurd to have one prop to battle that. Poor from Fittler tbh.
 
Pretty impressive numbers from Ponga and Klem, Makes you wonder what Klem could've done if Fittler didn't have him on the bench for 29 minutes

Im sick of these Hybrid forwards Fittler went with on the interchange, that's what lost NSW the game Qld just too aggressive in the middle. Need more old school probs like Klemmer, don't think need to chop halves they did ok just couldn't much their intensity.
For me new interchange with better impact. Was always going to be tough playing up at Suncorp.

People marking Ponga down are pretty harsh.
I'd have said he did OK if he just got through his first starting game in origin at age 20 if he didn't trip over his own feet, but he was actually one of the top half dozen players in the game, and his try assists probably got them home.

Saw a lot of people marking him down comparing him to Tedesco during the first half. Teddy being the omnipresent ultra supporting & running player he is, got the attention of the people to begin with. What a lot of people that probably haven't watched Ponga so closely don't realise is that Ponga is a different kind of player to Teddy, he's more like a half. His running game is what people see on the highlights but I think after the second half, plenty of people realised how he's different to Teddy & what makes him so good.
 
Tedesco is a stallion that doesnt like the hard yards. For mine he is questionable every time he is called on to make 1 on 1 tackles or put his body on the line.

Ponga on the other hand will do whatever it takes to stop the try.
