2017 Test Series: Australia vs India - 4th Test

Captain Courageous cannot continue batting the way he has. He is an absolute freak getting the team up to a respectable score time and time again. Regardless win, lose or draw, he is THE man of the series.
 
So much depends on the 1st session today...If we bowl them out and have a lead that's a huge advantage as India have to bat last

If they get a lead then it becomes harder but I still think Australia has the upper hand at this stage
 
We can't get a wicket and the scores just on level. Another 100 runs puts them in the box seat. Pity we did not go on with it at 1-131. Just lack of patience and application.

Whatever the Indians lead by it will be up to Warner (help us) and Renshaw to wipe the defecit before losing a wicket.
 
It was looking grim for Australia with India at 6/316 but we fought back and India are all out for 332

Lyon took 5/92 and Cummins got 3/94 but could have had 5 or 6

Rauhl (60) Pujara (57) Rahane (46) and Jadeja (63) were all great for India

Warner and Renshaw will look to knock this lead of 32 off quickly and without loss

I reckon if India are chasing any more than 200 it will be really tough so Australia will be looking for 250-300 in this 2nd innings

Lunch on day 3 and it's still anyone's game and series !!
 
India 332 all out. Excellent bowling by Lyon and Cummins.

We must bat big in our second innings.

It looks as though it is going to be a tight finish.

As someone said in the cricinfo feed - whoever is batting at lunch tomorrow will win this.
 
Warner has now been dropped at the start of both his innings in this test. He should make them pay, but I'll believe it when I see it

Warner goes for 6, Shocking series for him

He has scores of 33, 17, 19, 14, 56 and 6 for an average of 24.16
 
Warner after been given 1 life could only manage 6. He has now put pressure on the rest of the batting line-up as usual.

Since our series against New Zealand in February of 2016 Warner has only scored 2 centuries and 4 fifties

His average since that series last year is 35.25

Average - 35.25
 
Starc has scores of 61, 30, 26 and 1 for an average of 29.5. And he was in the side for his bowling.

Lefty we have absolutely no chance of batting big with that Warner goose leading the way. Another flop and we are 1 in front for only 3 wickets. He has no brain at all, just sticks his bat out at anything outside the off stump. We will be lucky to bat today, let alone tomporrow.
 
It's backs against the wall stuff for Australia now.

Another problem for us is that Shaun Marsh has hurt his back.

I thought he looked good while he was out there and was unlucky to be given out like he was. No rash shots from him in the last 2 tests. I be very interested to see how he goes in our home tests this summer.
