Starling came in November, Tupou halfway through pre-season. That is why I only listed Cronan, as we've only signed him since we've made all this room in the cap and all half decent players have gone to the Tigers it seems.
 
Packer and Matulino both have shot knee's, Has Reynolds ever looked like a gun? Would not have him in the top 8 halves in the comp. Loloheo, has been left in reserves plenty of time with loads of injuries for the warriors....... Yeah its nice they have signings, but value for money particularly for the first 3?

I'll get shot, but I am sure if we had of paid the overs and ridiculously long deals the Tigers have we could have got said players as well.

All of them come with big risks IMO.
 
Yeah and then we can crawl back up to the awthumb 8th-12th again with crappy roster management and be satisfied with with a token finals appearance every 4-5 years.

We get our first top player and watch the domino's fall.

I've got a theory on this do you think Brown is deliberately holding off getting mediocre or mid range props so he can lock in the Saf boys long term (not share the money he wants for them with others)? Just got me thinking that he is only wanting someone who will make them better not the team. I.E Matt Scott

Not a bad theory!

Though i think brown would sign anyone whom is a star... not just at prop!
Prop his his number one need and want... so its only normal with the funds we have to go after the ultimate leader in that position.

What does worry me is that we have
Paea, Stockwell, Starling, Mataora Tupou, Pauli unsigned for next yr... are we happy to give then new deals and just try get 1-2 more better props?

Id clean them out and bring new fresh blood into the team personally... including Pauli, he came here knowing it was this or nothing for him and last yr he was ship this yr started horrible but thats bad luck... his showing his still the same after coming back.

Mataora was average last yr although better then his ever been... but cant make out current nrl team... thats says enough for me to let him go.

Paea dont need to say anything.

Stocky has it in him if he wanted it bad enough, he just doesnt want it here imo... so catch ya.

So that means we need 8 new props on our roster.... id be knocking on every door of old heads and young bulls whom show heart pride and hunger.

Thats the worry!!! What we really need to do is that for one, making it happen seem impossible for us atm.... worried the light is getting further away
 
It's almost impossible to know who we are chasing and who we aren't because managers are using us to talk up contracts and the media are throwing up furphys as well, but my feeling is we are talking to any manager who wants to talk and we are offering unders for any average firstgrader who wants to come here, and very juicy offers to any genuine stars.
If we do end up signing some average firstgraders, it will be for bang average money.
