So storm are losing Blair, Champion and Stanley. Will be interesting to see who they pair up with Nielson in the centres next year.

and LOL @ Mortimer being 250k+, every time I hear it it makes me chuckle. Knights could go on a end of season charge ala Eels 2009 and Stig will be commanding that much :lol:

4. O'Neill
5. Quinn

O'Neill played centres all through his NYC career & it's his best position in my opinion. Then when Anthony Quinn retires, Elijah Niko will most likely take his place.
 
The Maurice Blair signing is an interesting I think. I will welcome him back but he is going to have more trouble getting a spot ahead of Tighe than he did against Champion IMO. Tighe just doesn't do anything wrong. Welcome back anyway Bobby! Just stay away from the Cheeseburgers.

Nah, he doesn't do a huge amount great but nothing much wrong either. Was a fair call to leave him out when Tahu was fit though.

I can see why he got into FG and why he lasted a whole season though. He did flash at times and played some decent footy. Was still very overrated but he wasn't bad.

After his rookie season though that was it. He really went down hill and started playing woeful. Added absolutely nothing to the Parramatta Eels outfit besides giving giddy school girls and the odd mum something to look at. Should've dropped him long before they did regardless of his name. Doing so could've even saved his career. Now all he is is a washed up young player who's not FG worthy and may not ever get a crack again.

I wouldn't even pay him the minimum salary. That's how bad he's looked the past couple seasons IMO.
 
daniel mortimer was really playing terrible and also i am shocked to hear that he is on something like $500000. kurt gidley dosent even get that much and he is so much better.they could of made a play for stig and could get him for less than 200k and he is considerably better than mortimer. Cant wait to see ryan stig in 2-3 years after wayne starts training him. also heard rumors that newcastle are looking for a player to transfer with leeds to release bedsy. A few people who may go may be greg bird, ryan stig?. looks like if they do not find that player to transfer they will just pay the transfer fee. also what in the world happened with alex mckinnon he was reportedly signed with us on the first page 1 week ago and now his name is gone?

It's not confirmed by the club yet or by a trusted media outlet. It's all speculation, so until otherwise his name will not go up there.

Also Bellamy denies M.Blair is going to Penrith. Said he has heard nothing of the sort, and that he still has a year to run at Melbourne and he wont be going anywhere.

All I've read is 'McKinnon will follow Bennett to Newcastle'
 
what i was saying was on the first page of this thread 1 week ago it said that newcastle had signed alex mckinon and then the next day it was gone
