    Meet and Greet Gold Coast

Been to the last two. First one prior to game, last one after the game. Good event, up close and personal with most of the players. About 80% of the team will be there. Brown always. Talked with Safitis, Brock Lamb, Brendon Elliot just to name a few. Even Gagai who gave us his rote speech about...

Rumour: Knights to offload Jarrod Mullen as part of player clean-out

Brown may well make a move on Mullen, but he won't do it until he has a replacement ready to step in....Benji anyone (God help us)...but Brown may be in deeper doo-doo if Trent decides to jump ship to the Dragons. Just sayin...

Browny has lost the playing group

I'll watch this space and if the three named players put in their notice, I'll be a believer. Not that it's beyond the realms of possibility, just one that's hard to get your head around. If it happens, it puts a serious cloud over Brown as a man-manager.

Browny has lost the playing group

TBH I can't see Mullen going. Gagai and Sims, yeah. Gagai looks disinterested or misererable (or both). Both would have options outside Newcastle. If Alex is quitting, that's odd...and what about Buderus "leaving to pursue other interests"? That last one really got me going. I thought he was in...

Rumour: Knights to offload Jarrod Mullen as part of player clean-out

Swarzey, this is what gets me as well - Mullen is on big money, agreed - but not as much as Hodkinson and frankly, I don't think he's earned that sort of coin. We need a a game breaking half, not a plodder like Trent. Without Mullen's long kicking and passing game to support him, he's more like...

Danny Buderus to step down as Knights assistant coach

Jeez, guys - are you so depressed and lacking in confidence in Brown that you're talking about Stone like he would have gotten us somewhere? Also-rans at best. Bennett had some interest when he walked in the door, but a season later he was over it - that was obvious. He disrespected us almost as...

Players you would like to see at the Knights

Guess these guys know how to get TPD's unlike us and it's likely they will shed some players as well. I'm not sorry the Knights didn't get him (assuming they considered it) - the guy is becoming a human headline.

Players you would like to see at the Knights

Good to see Brown calling a spade a spade and cutting off stupid speculation.

    Knights chasing Tuimoala Lolohea

I get the feeling Randell is not one of Brown's favourites, despite the fact he has been doing a pretty tidy job prior to getting injured.

The Dragons launch secret bid to poach Trent Hodkinson from Newcastle

Mullen will go at the end of his contract for sure, but for now Cogger, Lamb AND Mullen are looking like better options than Hodkinson.

Rumour: Jack Stockwell set to leave the Knights

I agree with this - Stockwell looked the goods initially, but after a couple of injuries and maybe for other reasons unknown to us has gone seriously off the boil. What went wrong - is this some kind of virus that infects some of the players when they come to play at the Knights? But - he was...

    Nathan Ross

I'm more concerned he never passes the bloody thing. Runs straight into the opposition while guys left and/or right of him are screaming for the ball. Starting to look a bit like Uate - not good.

    Jarryd Hayne

Hayne has a pricetag and an ego to match, firstly we can't afford him and still field a half-decent team to go around him. Secondly do you really think he'd be happy to reside in Newcastle? I don't think so.

    Hodkinson Happy in Newcastle ??

Mullen's stats are better than Hodkinson's overall. Mullen's issue is he can't consistently perform week in week out. That said, his assists, kicking and passing game have been streets ahead of Trent's. Hodkinson has the consistency, but consistent mediocrity isn't exactly what we need from our No7.

    Hodkinson Happy in Newcastle ??

And I suppose Mullen is out it starts all over again with Lamb. Still, when the heat is on, you would have to expect a bit more from a half with his supposed pedigree. It reminds me a bit of when Boyd first joined the Knights with Bennett - he never seemed comfortable from day 1.

    Hodkinson Happy in Newcastle ??

You have to say our long kicking game to the corners which used to score us tries has all but vanished. Hodkinsons kicking game is average at best, not worth the bucks he's on. Must say I did like Lamb's debut - he looked really comfortable out there. As far as our 7 goes, Pearce made him look...

    Hodkinson Happy in Newcastle ??

Heard a rumour that Hodkinson has not settled comfortably in Newcastle - he doesn't particularly like the town and he's somewhat standoffish with his team mates. Think there's any truth to that given he openly admitted he was disappointed he had to leave the dogs. I suppose the other issue is...
