Wighton defence was outstanding
Great read, pretty sure he wasn't offsideHe was a bit in front of Klein.
Klein was 12m back though for some reason.
Dolphins and Wahs destroying each other. Dolphins have about 4 or 5 on report now. Really hope we play them.
You get your wish nowI would rather play the Warriors than the Phins. We almost beat the Warriors with 12 men. We can win with 13.
We can beat themYou get your wish now![]()
Wighton also had Best covered defensively so I think they evened themselves out there. I thought Best should’ve been better in attack against a 33 year old Wighton to be honest, especially given he’s asking for big moneyThat’s interesting as I thought he had nothing against Best, either old man legs is hitting Wighton for retirement or Best is one of the best defensive centres in the game, had him covered easily
Said I’d be happy to be proven wrongWhere are the doubters now on this forum?
As much as I love Dom like one of my own children we did get A BIT of the rub of the green with that try and it could have gone either way. And if the on field call was stepped out you live with it.Wayne having a cry. Awesome.
Yeah looking back I do think Dom had a pretty clear toe on the line. The angle from behind made it look like he didn’t, but I think it was more the front of his shoe disappeared from view into the turf. The other two angles were pretty clear he was stepping on it.As much as I love Dom like one of my own children we did get A BIT of the rub of the green with that try and it could have gone either way. But in no way in hell was the Sullivan no try ever a try so there was no real controversial momentum changer other then giving them a sniff at the end
But with Kleins 6 agains plus the Jais bday game I’m not shedding as much of a tear for poor Wayne
Agreed. Their scramble particularly on the right edge was fantastic. If the Warriors edge defence is like it was today we’d put another 2 or 3 tries on.Wighton defence was outstanding
If they can see green between the shoe and the white line they’re not going to overturn the on field call, even if yeah probably his shoe was pushing the grass onto the line and his foot was on top of that lol. We got a bit lucky there.Yeah looking back I do think Dom had a pretty clear toe on the line. But, sometimes you get the rub of the green! And it was sent up as a try.
Weird that Bennett blew up about the wrong try, imo. Maybe he is going a bit senile haha
They looked legitimately shell shocked after the game. I reckon if the Dolphins had stolen it with a couple of jammy tries that might have been something they could live with, but besides the one the Hammer scored, their tries really came off the back of the Dolphins finishing over the top of them. By the end of the game the two sides almost equal for metres gained etc despite the Phins having a fair bit less ball, and the Phins killed them for average set distance in the end. Quite frankly I just do not think they could have envisaged themselves losing like that, at home, especially with how on top they were physically for the first 60 minutes. Pretty remarkable given how much defending the Phins middle rotation was forced to do.The Warriors are on the ropes. They are going to struggle with our edge forwards. All the pressure is on them and they frankly look like a team who no longer believes they can win this competition. Their contact went down big time once the Phins started using the ball in the last quarter. We are the last team they want to play next week.
