Phoenix Crossland discussion

He got monstered by his team mates after he scored his try and came out with his nose injured again by McEwen this time.
If it broke again, he's had it broken by Hunt's backside and McEwen's chest now.
The post try award given by team mates literally hurts more than getting to the line itself. Ive passed the ball before the line to gift an inside runner to avoid this very thing on more than one occasion.

Crokes is a straight up and down player for mine and certainly doesn't shirk away from the tough stuff however I personally think he is keeping that No.13 warm for Crossland.

A lot will depend on how Harry Graham develops and if he does so like we want him to and what potential he has got then Crokes imo either starts for Mooney or joins the middle rotation off the bench if you look at the bigger picture.

I get you BUT Crokes has been one of our best to start the year. Yet another headache.

Though I think Crokes starting and Crossland moving to lock like we have been doing is the best use of both of them.

I’ve argued a bit for just playing Phoenix at 9 for 80, because switching to another dummy half mid game can knock you out of sync a bit - that mid game switch to a different style of 9 is one of those things which can sound great in theory but not in practice.

Once again I underestimated how good our attacking coaching is though, because for us bringing on the nippier 9 has worked a treat, straight away. I think we just stick with what we’re doing now, start Crokes at 13, then move Phoenix there when the 14 comes on.

Phoenix’s big issue as a 9 is yeah he can **** up a bit under fatigue, but if he’s not worried about hustling back to be onside early in a yardage set anymore an can just walk back like the other pigs, he shouldn’t get as gassed.

Usually when I cop two rear ends to the face I had to pay $400, Phoenix has figured out a way to not just get it for free but get paid for it. The GOAT.

Another crazy stat is Smith is top ten for try assists this year beating the likes of Sam Walker, Cody Walker, Hynes, Katoa, Luai, Pezet and Munster, yet he gets less publicity than all those.

I’ve said it before but damn he would be close to buy of the season, having such a good halfback as depth is insane, good job POS

Was said on here that Gagai had lost his ability to break the first tackler with age, looks like he’s got it back.
Most of his tackle breaks are fends off and sideways running, he's has made a few line breaks this year which has been good, he wasnt able to make those breaks last year. Thats probably due to better ball.
