I used the example of those three members of the same Flegg side as Esatheo played for because they all have one thing in common - they were all very talented and too small for firstgrade.
Esatheo wasn't a giant even after steroids. He was about Steve Simpson sized - smaller than Woolnough - maybe a bit bigger than Jobson or Matt Kennedy.
It would be the same as going to our present Mathews side and picking two props who are around 175 cm tall (i was going to name two - but that wouldn't be fair) - and giving one of them steroids and turning him into a 190cm Trent Esatheo type, and not giving the other one steroids and him turning into a Blake Mueller.
Mate, you've lost all credibility to me personally.
It first started a couple of weeks ago when you said to shift Mullen into the centres. That's just plain ridiculous to anyone who has a good feel for rugby league. He's an organizational, ball playing half who has a good running game because he knows when to run and when not to. To go along with that he also has a good kicking game. You don't shift a player like that out into the centres. Period. He's a half. Smith knows he's a half, I know he's a half, and Mullen knows he's a half. Anyone who would even entertain the idea of shifting him into the centres obviously doesn't fully understand either the game or the positions on the field. It's like saying shift Buderus into the halves. Sure he could do it, but you shouldn't do it, you wouldn't do it, and you just don't do it. Simple as that. He's a hooker, nothing else, just like Mullen is a half, and a great half at that. I have no idea why you'd even consider shifting him out into the centres. To go along with that, I think you even shifted Naiqama out to the wing to make room for him in the centres, when Naiqama is the true centre of the two who's also been playing some great footy for us there. I don't know why you'd shift him out to the wing so he's even less involved and the only time he touches the ball is from kick returns and running out of dummy half. Naiqama's also a great defender out in the centres which is what you need to be if you want to be a half decent centre.
You than had a couple of comments referring to Sau that once again showed that you don't know as much as you actually think you do. You said Smith is the wrong coach for Uate because Sau would most likely get the call up before Uate, when in fact he should because we have more question marks over the centre position opposite Naiqama than we do at both the wing positions. Sau's a centre and Uate isn't. If we need help in the centres, Sau's the next in line and is the one who'll most likely get called up because he's a centre and Uate's not. You also said he's selfish and predictable. You said he's selfish because he doesn't pass the ball to his winger, when in actual fact no centre should just catch and pass to his winger unless there's some space for him or there's an overlap or something. If you're a centre and you get the ball, you do your thing, you don't catch and pass to your winger straight away so he's one on one with his winger and only has one way to go because of the sideline. That's why centres are centres and wingers are wingers. It doesn't make Sau or any other centre selfish because he backs his own ability and goes one on one with the opposing centre as oppose to passing the ball to his winger straight away for him to get either tackled straight away or for him to get taken over the sideline. You obviosuly don't fully understand what it takes to be a great centre or to even play in the centres in general. As an example, Gasnier and Hodges are IMO the top two centres in the game at the moment, and how many times do you see them catch and pass to their winger straight away? Yeah, that's right, they don't. They back their own ability to beat the opposing centre one on one. They'll offload the ball to their winger at times if they've got an arm free or they're just standing in the tackle, which is what they should be doing if it's on, but you don't just catch and pass to your winger. Once again, that's why centres are centres and wingers are wingers, not the opposite way around.
So you've already lost a heap of credibility in my book for making both those posts in the past, but you than go ahead and make a fool of yourself yet once again in this thread by doing the exact same thing, make ridiculous claims and comments. You basically say if both Quigley and Mueller were taller and heavier, they'd be playing for Australia, or they at least would've represented Australia in the past. That's one of the most stupidest thing I've ever heard in my entire life. Both those players were fringe first graders, and you're claiming if they were bigger they'd all of a sudden go from fringe first graders into arguably one of the best players at their respected positions, which is what they would be if they got selected for Australia. You than say afterwards that you were just using those two players as an example which you're obviously saying to try and back track because you know deep down inside how ridiculous and stupid those claims are, but when you said it, you know and I know you were being dead serious. You than go on to say if Tyrie was bigger he'd be better than Johns, which is borderline insane as Johns is the best footballer IMO to ever play the game. I couldn't give half a sh*t how big you are as a footballer, because I take Johns over you any day of the week purely because of his natural talent and leadership skills. Just a heads up, you don't get more talented when you get bigger, just in case you didn't know which you obviously don't.
I also don't appreciate being called an f-wit because you were talking sh*t and I had a different opinion to you. You started with the personal attacks purely because you knew I was getting the better of you and you had no idea what to say to support your ridiculous claims and your argument. I never once insulted you until you started with the insults that were uncalled for IMO. Just because you couldn't support your argument and you were getting embarrassed by me, doesn't mean you can throw a little hissy fit and start insulting everything that moves.
I'm done with this argument and with you. I called you out about the Mullen comment and the Sau comment when you made them, but you obviously didn't want to discuss it as you didn't reply, so I'm assuming you'll do the same with this post, or if you do reply, I'm guessing you'll be dishing out the insults once again.
Sorry to everyone else for the long post, but hopefully we can put this issue to rest now and hopefully there's no more insults like calling a poster an f-wit just because he got called out for making stupid claims like both Quigley and Mueller would be playing for Australia if they were bigger and that some no name scrub half back would've been better than Johns if he was bigger.
