Ive never seen anything like it. Over on the Kennel they are going off! Making excess amount of catchy Banners aimed at ex-bulldog players as well as rude Chants. They have got pamphlets to hand out so when Mason comes out instead of booing, they all just turn around and be silent.

It deserves its own thread, Its going to get out of control. You'd be game to go being a Roosters fan wouldnt you?

Mason Pamphlets via The Kennel

There Nice Chants *cough*

Mason said this today:

“I've played in Tests and Origins and bigger games, I've had countries hate me and states want to kill me. It's just another club game. I've got no point to prove to anyone."

Its just building up nicely. Cant wait for the Footy show tonight.

Quiet Please, Folkes to Serve

When Willie Mason walked out on the Bulldogs last year, his parting gift was one hell of a spray in the direction of coach Steve Folkes.

Writing in his weekly newspaper column, Mason claimed he "never learnt anything from him (Folkes) in 10 years - other than to catch and pass".

"He had the best roster in the game for six or seven years and we only won one comp - the only reason we won was because of the players, not him."

15-love.

Folkes exacted his own form of revenge this week when he named everyone bar Mason and perhaps the ballboys in discussing the relative strengths of the Roosters squad.

15-all.

Most thought Mason's next chance to get back at Folkes would have been when he ran onto ANZ Stadium against Folkes' Bulldogs on Friday night.

But the outspoken forward couldn't resist a nibble on Thursday, claiming he already had benefited from spending just five months working under Roosters coach Brad Fittler.

"More life skills I suppose, (Fittler's) a bit more of a mentor," Mason said of Fittler's tutelage.

"He's taught me to be a better person, a lot more humble and getting my life outside of football in order."

30-15.

Quiet please. Folkes to serve.

No thats just his avatar, that man in the roosters jersey was a player promoting a couple of weeks back.

Roosters fan on the biggest dogs forum, he is brave!

Cops **** though.

I was thinking about going to this match, but I'm sort of fearing for my own safety. :p

This match is going to be such an anti climax, SBW will be off the field within the first half with yet another knee injury, the Roosters will walk all over the Bulldogs in an empowering display.

Mason seemed pretty relaxed today (footy show). You can just tell he's going to have a good game tomorrow. SBW's still holding the grudge, haha loved how he avoided the 'Are you still a mate of Mason' question.

Williams - forget about loyalty

SONNY Bill Williams turned down twice as much money to remain a Bulldog last season, but the Kiwi superstar says the Willie Mason saga has taught him not to put loyalty ahead of family any more.

In a statement which is sure to spark the interest of NRL clubs around the country, Williams says he no longer believes in loyalty and that his next contract negotiation will be decided by what is best for himself and his family.

However, after being persuaded by Mason to show loyalty to the Bulldogs last season, that time won't come for another four years as the 22-year-old is contracted until the end of 2012.

Williams says clubs use loyalty to try and convince marquee players to stay but then cry salary cap restrictions when senior players are trying to negotiate extended deals and instead sign younger players.

“Players this day and age have to look after themselves and their families first and foremost,” Williams told the Nine Network.

“A lot of people may say I'm a hypocrite for saying that after the thing with Mason, but the thing with Mason is totally different. The thing with Mason and the reason I was upset was he said one thing and did the total opposite.”

Mason walked out on the Bulldogs last November to join the Sydney Roosters and Williams remains upset that his former teammate convinced him to remain at Belmore for loyalty but turned his back on his mates less than 12 months later because of a feud with then club chief executive Malcolm Noad.

Williams claimed Mason was using his feelings for Noad to hide the real reason he left the club.

“I know Willie and all the boys know Willie, he is big on diversions and I think that was one of them for (Friday) night's game,” he said.

Williams and Mason will clash for the first time when the Dogs host the Roosters at ANZ Stadium.

While they play on opposite sides of the field, they are salivating at the prospect of lining each other up in Friday's blockbuster.

“Of course there is going to be nerves but in saying that if I see him on the field I'm not going to take a backward step,” said Williams.

“It's going to be a big match with a bit of a twist.”

While Mason downplayed any feud with Williams, the Bulldog superstar avoided a direct answer when asked if he was still friends with Mason.

“You know all week people have been asking that question and my main focus this week is 7.30 tomorrow night. It's the game. Whatever happens after that happens,” he said.

The Dogs are going to lose this weekend. Some of the chants from the Kennel are OK but most of them are just cr*p.

Yea I agree, Bulldogs fans are pretty immature though, players come and go all the time, why are they making such a big fuss now. :icon_rolleyes:

Interesting when asked if Sonny Bill was Masons friend he aort of changed the subject to the game. And Mason tried to cover it up.

Why would anyone be friends with Mason if they didn't have to be? The man is a drongo.

I don't agree with that, the Bulldogs haven't really had any decent halves since Lamb retired. They've always lacked pace out wide. Their only big plus was their pack. The only year that they really deserved to win that they didn't was 2002, that I can think of. And since they were big cheats, they didn't.

I cant wait either. Iv'e tipped Roosters to get up but would not be surprised for it to go the complete opposite way. All i know is we have a game on our hands.

Ahem, :icon_lol:.

Roosters defence was impressive, controlled possession great aswell, all in all dominated the Bulldogs.

Hahaha, yes well done Frizzed :p

Dogs kept going in for the big hits and missing, allowed the roosters to make easy meters, Sydney played really smart footy and deserved the win.
