2026 - 2027 Summer of Cricket

he averaged 48 on flatties in england and has only ever played on green tops/seamers other than that (Australia, 3 games in the windies where the wickets were disgraceful and this game now).
Great bowler but his clearly sitting where he belongs in the pecking order.

Edit: he also had a wicketless match in india.

Yet his older and averages less than Labuschange in shield. gunna be plenty of big shield scores this season, greenburg has told all the curators to dial down the wickets.

Talking of averages, Patterson has played 2 tests and his test average is 144! He has shown he can perform at test level.

2 or 3 years of with a number 3 consistently scoring runs would be good for our cricket team

We do have options at number 3.

Cmon now, check out the score cards in those games he played for australia, joe burns managed 180 opening 😂. He had 2 bats in 2 games and also hit his runs at 6 (where you should be debuting in the test side as a bat imo)

He hasnt ever put 2 or 3 seasons together at shield level mate. He would of come in before maddinson for me though, plenty of shield players would really, still such an absurd call.
 
Its looking flat isnt it!!. Must be tough for the bowlers trying to hit their lengths with such a difference in the batters heights, Boland in particular has been way to full to Jansen.
 
We should swap Marnus for Jansen. Marnus can stay with his grandmothers in Klerksdorp and we would have a South African who can score some runs 🤣
