he averaged 48 on flatties in england and has only ever played on green tops/seamers other than that (Australia, 3 games in the windies where the wickets were disgraceful and this game now).
Great bowler but his clearly sitting where he belongs in the pecking order.

Edit: he also had a wicketless match in india.

Yet his older and averages less than Labuschange in shield. gunna be plenty of big shield scores this season, greenburg has told all the curators to dial down the wickets.

Talking of averages, Patterson has played 2 tests and his test average is 144! He has shown he can perform at test level.

2 or 3 years of with a number 3 consistently scoring runs would be good for our cricket team

We do have options at number 3.
 
It’s good Patterson has found form again. There was a reason he was picked for Austraila
And that was because he was scoring mountains of runs. He fell off a cliff for a while but whatever he is doing since last season is working
