Justin Holbrook discussion

Everyone knows their role and the playing style is dictated by the capabilities of the players we have. You buy that we can win big games with a cumulative 60 run metres out of the lock forward position and barely any running threat from 9 for most of the game when the hooker/lock rotation makes over 100 tackles, leading the way in line speed and dirty work/repeat efforts in D, and those players are also integral to our full field playing style where the best ball runners are always asking questions and running the opposition D ragged.

Another thing with Holbrook last night was I think he learned from our previous games against souths. Our defensive patterns shut down their threats really well. We contained Fifita and Latrell, and moved the ball well without being silly, which nullified there middle forwards. Obviously I’m not taking away from the team executed it professionally.
I’ve noticed this in other games this year too where we’ve had a weakness the previous week, and it’s been non existent the following week. Signs of a great coach really.

I don’t know when the Dally M’s are, but I’ll be disappointed if he isn’t coach of the year
I reckon it’s between Holbrook and Woolf and who finishes higher this season wins it

Assuming Warriors win today, next week it’s not just to progress to the major semi final, but also for coach of the year
