Round 3 - Knights vs Dragons - 6:15pm Sunday 19 July - McDonald Jones Stadium

Knights' defence into attack for the second try, absolutely excellent footy! (Sorry, I'm on replay). Cracking pass from Spain as well.

Knights have been far more direct in the first half and have reaped the rewards. Kira's boot is enormous. I hope Jasmine is OK.

Roche can be anything she wants to be in the game.
It’s up to her, if she really pushes herself & gets super fit then not many NRLW players can match her natural footy ability and iq.

They're so connected. Just a team wide commitment to promoting the ball to a player in a better position. Obviously Jesse Southwell and Tamika Upton are better players than Dibb/Roche/Higgins etc, I'm not an idiot, but it's kind of interesting that the level of the other key players in the team has improved after one of them left, both times. From Tamikaball to Jesseball to... Knightsball?

Spain isn't the best athlete bit yeah very skillful and she understands how to find & use space. Very good hands. She's looked better at 1 than anyone else we've tried there since Tamika left and it's seeming weird that she wasn't preferred to others. It's a common fallacy in NBA scouting that players whose game is built around athleticism/physicality have a "higher ceiling" than those who build their game around skill & craft, maybe this is an example of that. "Good at the sport" often a weirdly underrated trait lol.
Yeah she’s still very slight but she has everything you want in a fullback, and she can always add strength etc. sounds like she was injured at the start of the year and had she not may well have been preferred

I don’t know about NBA but in league surely footy iq, skill, and very importantly understanding space, are so much more important than just pure athleticism, especially in spine players?

You wouldn’t want a half or a fullback who is just an athlete. They need to have a brain and some playmaking skills. You can probably get away with pure athletes more in other positions I’d imagine

Hope they’re planning on locking her up long term asap.

I don't like to be pessimistic but jeez :( I am hoping the improvement in the team continues but this probably rules out wins in big games against the Roosters, Broncos and Warriors. Awful for Jasmine as she genuinely appears to love playing the game.
