I'm guessing that's more about cap and the fact that he's committed elsewhere than a comment on Luai's performance. A year at the Bears could be good for everyone.

I think I read they have a couple of talented youngsters; Luai for a year buys them time to develop them and makes them more competitive in 27.

I hope we don't get the Bears in round 1 in Perth; after that I reckon it's all mostly Bad News Bears from there.
 
How do they award that tigers try? The try scorer pushed taine out the way before putting the ball down and taine was the closest to the ball after lautitlii missed it. Another bunker blunder.

If we are being real, our run into the top 4 has been on the back of a lucky recent draw. Dragons (twice), Titans, Eels, Tigers and a Phins B side without 6 origin stars. And only 2 of those games were 13+ victories. We were very lucky to get away with most of those wins in all honesty. We will need to improve markedly given that our draw luck is going to run out after this week. We also need to massively improve our p/d if we want to remain in the 4. Our P/D is worse than all of the other teams in the mix for the top 4.

Did somebody die? Have to say this was a rather morbid post. lol Valid points to an extent but we can only play what’s in front of us. Hopefully we build this last stretch to finals.

I think the refs backing off on the six agains has even up the scores somewhat. We aren’t scoring as many points but on the flip side our defence has been better.
