Men’s State of Origin Game 3 2026 - The Blues Vs The Maroons - 8:05pm Wednesday 8th July - Suncorp Stadium

Media: There's a rumour that Ethan Strange has been injured; he was spotted wearing a moon boot. What are you thinking, Loz?
Loz: That, that opens a raft of opportunities.
Media: You mean like bring in former Origin players like Matt Burton or Jerome Lui?
Loz: No, I mean like Ethan is hard enough to tackle as it is; how hard would he be to tackle with a moon boot on?

I'm not sure Gould calling Grant a "cheat" is going to help NSW much. It might help Harry's bank balance if it comes with significant backlash and he decides to take it further.

I personally don't like Grant's antics, but I kinda wish KP would get in the ear of the ref more; it's nothing different to what Cam Smith did during his career in making the refs think about the next decision...so IDK why it's cheating now when it was OK (but very annoying) then.

tbh, I can't remember an Origin I've looked forward to less; might put the mock on QLD and back them 13+.

But hopefully Loz pulls off a coaching masterstroke and goes out a winner.

Also, hopefully next season, the NSW spine will look more like Brailey, Katoa, Strange and Edwards, coached by TBA.

Can't remember an Origin decider that I have cared less about. I suspect NSW get pumped, but if that means we get rid of Loz, well... if you want to make an omelette, you have to break a few eggs.

How Young never gets dropped is beyond me, must be because he used to be good… nowhere near top 3 best left edge rowers for the blues

Lucas over Young any day and keeps the combo in the team
I’m not watching this, so it’s not a live observation, but I do worry that Lucas never gets an origin start again due to poor coaching and a game plan that doesn’t suit.
I hope a new coach sees what they have in him for the future
