NRL Round 16 - Knights Vs Dragons - 8:00pm Friday, 19th of June - McDonald Jones Stadium

Saw the same thing. They'll not pick him again unfortunately.
He’s gonna get scapegoated no doubt.

Not saying he should retain his spot but it’s a lot easier for the pundits to blame a bloke who’s played 50 odd FG games on Origin debut than it is their favourites who consistently under perform for NSW. Lucas was average but he had a lot of mates out there tonight and they’re all much more experienced than he is..

Dyl made 38 tackles and only missed one. Unfortunately for him, that one missed tackle will be the one everyone remembers as Hammer strolled straight through him to score.

I thought he did very well defensively though, considering he was defending inside Marky Mark and Kotoni Staggs who had an all time shocker...

Even with that tackle, Staggs missed his mark on hammer, who then stepped inside and pushed Lucas away but was 100% staggs tackle and miss first. He brooks have pushed harder and maybe got him lower but staggs was a fair turnstile all night but everybody blamingh Lucas and not him
If he had of reached 100m run then he would have had done extremely well, but the 58m is still bad, but he wasn’t alone when cam Murray,Hass, yeo and radley all were about same run metres

He will want to play to make amends Friday night, maybe on that bench and 20 odd minutes if needed would be good for him, then a big rest till wed next week to refresh

You can’t blame or bag Lucas for the loss. He definitely wasn’t near the worst player for NSW.

It’s that moron Daley that should be taking all the blame and honestly should be sacked as coach mid series. Every NSW player has looked worse under Daley. Even Cleary and Haas looked average last night and we all know how good those guys are

Daley is the one who dropped Olakau’atu and selected Lucas, Daley then put Lucas on the right, when he always plays left side and Daley is the one that couldn’t come up with a game plan on how to use Lucas to best utilise his skill set

Absolute idiocy putting Lucas on the right, Lucas held his own but definitely wasn't memorable debut.

It sucks for Lucas because we all know how good he is, now he wasn’t great in the game but it wasn’t all his fault, Loz is a trash coach and picked a player he had no clue how to use, he picked a guy that made his name as a left sided second rower and instantly drops our most damaging right sided second rower for him, it’s just so idiotic that I can’t even fully put it into words for how stupid it is.

I just hope Lucas doesn’t go on social media and just turns the outside world off and just focuses on his game, games like that can make players start to second guess their abilities and cause them to become safer, now luckily we have the Dragons on Friday so it’s an ideal game for him to play and get that confidence back instantly.

Hunt at fullback… yay…
For a 20 yo bloke who's had what, one NRL preseason, who is constantly asked to play in unfamiliar roles to plug critical gaps within the teams' system, he does a crazy good job for his age and experience. There's something outstanding about him.

At fullback he is anything but safe under the high ball and has cost us with Flegg standard positioning and judgement, particularly under the high ball. Its why we copped big scorelines against the Roosters and the Panthers. But he is daring, tough and naturally skillful. His biggest fault is that he backs himself, perhaps beyond his current ability. But according to Holbrook he is worthy of FG as the next man up to replace top tier talent.

There may be a 250 game footballer in him and if we think we'll need him for a premiership push in the next couple years we should blood him in the deep end now.
