NRL Round 9 - Knights Vs Rabbitohs - 2:00pm Sunday, 3rd of May - McDonald Jones Stadium

You know how sometimes you watch the game live at the ground and think the ref is giving you a bath and then you watch the replay and realise it wasn’t so bad?

This sure as hell wasn’t one of those times. Kennedy wasn’t even hiding it by the end of the game. The penalty against Gagai was absurd and the one against Ponga even moreso. Win or lose we should be complaining about this ugly prick. I don’t want him reffing us again. He’s not close to NRL standard.

He has been diabolical this year in every game, not only Knights ones.
I said on here when he got dropped that I hope he didn't return, people got upset and PC about it.

He isn't an NRL quality ref, simple.

Kennedy is the worst ref in the NRL by quite some distance and this is the same league that has Butler and Gough employed.

That made victory so much sweeter, we dropped 3 in a row, won our first game back at full strength and dominated the first half and hung on in the second half which we were bad in.

All up happy days.

Poor dragons next week we could put 60 on them. In the first half.
Gee, I hope the Knights go into the Drago’s game with the right attitude. Just turning up won’t win it!

Feel like us fans could see how much of the good stuff in attack in this one was Brown sucking in defenders and creating numbers out wide, but Kalyn seemingly got all the credit from most pundits & the Dally M judges. Not that Kalyn didn't deserve any of course, but Brown is creating much more advantageous situations than anyone he's played with before.

So exciting how well they combine.

The Warriors are quite good defensively. Any team that can keep it below 20 points conceded per game is doing well these days.

Also think the Broncos at their best can come up with some impressively long stretches of defence in their own 20.

Something that doesnt really get noticed as much on tv vs live is the 2 paced nature of browns game. multiple times he created space on the outside by picking up his tempo into the line.

It’s so good to see us with multiple attacking threats that can unleash Ponga. 2023 he at least had those great Fitzgibbon offloads that he ran onto a heap of times. 2024/25 it really was just a case of throw it out to him and hope he can do something. Was frustrating to watch and really did his skills a disservice, as well.
