30-12 wasn’t too bad with how bad we were, 36-12 is terrible and could be a costly thing in the end when pints differential can be an issue
 
The last play sums up the game, there was no point in that kick and the Wahs punished us for it. Was the same throughout. I think the Wahs might be in for a shock when we go to NZ (assuming we have players back).

Says a lot when the only forward that makes 100m is Lucas. penalties don’t help but we got belted in the middle and were gassed by the time we had any ball. Compound that with dropped ball and pushed passes, this result speaks for itself. Onto next week
 
Can’t wait to have Sharpe back. Forwards got rolled, but I thought Gamble was solid. Sandon overplayed his hand and was awful defensively. Atleast if you have someone overplaying their hand when our strike players are out, Sharpe can actually create something out of nothing.
 
Very confused by Crokers limited game time today, Im guessing because of how much defending we were doing Frizz should strengthen the middle

23 runs 236m 44tk. Not a bad day out really. 4 missed tackles though. Probably needs to work on that
 
I said I’d still be positive about this team if they stuck to their guns even if it meant they got belted and I’m sticking by that. They were committed and stayed in it as long as they could, but that Wahs team probably has the best pack in the game, full of great forwards in their physical prime, and it took a toll.

The foundation of the team has to be built around skillful attack & committed defence to ride out those periods where things don’t come off. You’re only going to get good at executing when on the receiving end of stifling pressure and relentless physicality via experience. We found out what that looks like today. The really gutting thing last season is that the teams that were belting us deadset were not trying at all.
