If that interview with Holbrook on the website was supposed to inspire confidence in the decision making, have to say it had the opposite effect

Pretty much said he wasn’t real fussed which way they went and was basically already foreshadowing Sharpe moving to other positions during the year

Probably doesn’t get on the field but Manuleleua getting the nod over the other three players is good to see. Clearly Holbrook has some belief in him. He’s maybe as naturally skilled as anyone at the club not named Ponga or Brown, if he can push his way into the regular team it can change things.

with 6 man bench he could choose to no use Cant and put on Manu instead. ballsy but exciting.

I think Sandon will bring some speed to the 9 position too and could be great late in the half.

Biggest goal is for team to have a high completion rate so we give as many quality opportunities to likes of KP, Brown, Sharpe, Best, Lucas, Young, McEwen
 
Might roll down the blinds, put on some sad music and go cry in my bedroom.

But in all seriousness, ESL should be on the bench or even in the extended squad based on trial form and Sandon coming off the bench to play hooker when we have specialists in Graham/Arthur certainly doesn’t inspire me with confidence. I thought with AOB gone it was supposed to be a “fresh feel” with “fresh new ideas”. FFS.

So you might just swap Sandon in there in a few weeks just to have a bit of fun with it? What?
 
Hopefully the coach (who coincidentally the brains trust of Smith’s biggest fans were so certain was the only option) comes on here so he can be told he’s wrong about the guy he’s spent several years with at the Roosters, given the majority of the preseason to stake a claim at half out of necessity to, given two trials there to, and somehow still doesn’t rate him as highly as we do. It’s strange that a coach who is maybe more familiar with Smith than any other in the comp isn’t as convinced as some armchair specialists who believed he was the answer to our long kicking problem prior to the trials.

Some entertaining tantrums already, though.
 
I'm going to assume KP will be the actual number 6 on that left edge with Sharpe playing as the runner/fullback.....if that's not the case then I am speechless and confused with the team selection

I think that was just a statement to say we’re versatile and have guys who can play in different positions. I’m sure Holbrook thinks Sharpe can kill it and make that spot his own.
