The pre-season 2026 thread

Is there a particular reason NIB are unwilling to integrate their logo on Knights jerseys but will to do it for others?

This looks so much better than having the stupid green box

Sad days when Jacob is 10cm taller than me, musclier than me and I’m still a kilo heavier 😬

Assuming Sharpe starts on one wing and if Dom is not fit would Wilson jump Greg in the queue?
Well Greg seems to start every season slow and WDC was the form player in reserve grade and Toohey says he's been impressive in the pre-season, so I'd say he's one impressive trial away from shunting Greg back to reserve grade - like he has been early in the season for the last few years.
Of course, Greg could lift for the new coach too.

Seems light in the forwards? or that just me
Need some punch up front for the likes or KP and DB to do their thing.

I don’t think we are that light, a lot of the time you don’t need these 115kgs behemoths to gain metres if anything they can hurt you as they generally can’t go all that long and get lazy in defence because of it.

Making metres in away is about knowing how to hit into contact and drive the legs, it’s more than just running straight but more of when you throw your weight into a tackle to maximise the hit and hopefully knock people back to utilise your leg drive

Saying that I would like one more for depth reasons but I don’t see that happening.

The coach will be revving him up something fierce about realising his potential and becoming 'a pack leader' etc at a club where JSaf is the only figurehead prop.

He turns 24 early next season, so his time is now. Whatever he's got in him we'll probably be see it as of the very early rounds. He'll have a pretty big year and give us a lot of variety.

Any cup highlights from last season? could only find a vid from like 2023. Looks like a beast in nsw cup.

I’m excited to see these forwards aim up. I think there’s something really dangerous about players that have something to prove.
The guys that have come here seem to fit the mould.

It’s also a position that if you’re not all-in, you’ll be found out. It’s really noticeable if you’re just going through the motions. I’m excited to see if any are capable of “bending the line” with some consistency. If so, Brown, Smith/Sharpe and Ponga are going to be big beneficiaries.

Was just looking up Pasmi Saulo highlights and found this. Nice surprise he was 2025 Raiders NSW cup player the year!
Pasami has great leg drive. He needs to teach that to the other props. He uses his hip strength to keep him centred to the ground while burrowing with the shoulders. Absolute perfect technique.
