2026 Draw

We used to have a really good social media guy and would do cool team announcements and such. Now I think it’s big fella who did the podcast with Croker who seems more interested in being mates with the players than doing a good job.

That guy you’re talking about didn’t get along with AOB. For some reason AOB thought it was necessary to include himself in the social media side of things 🤦‍♀️

Since then he hired that Frank Barrett guy from Melbourne and everything’s been so boring.

Jay the other bloke you’re talking about from the podcast is a very good videographer/ photographer, the work he there is good but he wouldn’t be doing the actual social posts. I’d say the problem has been or still is that they’re micromanaged and not given the freedom to do their jobs

Yeh that’s him. He’s still a big fan of the club. I put the Spider-Man jersey on marketplace and he came and picked it up. Think he was writing for Roar at the time

It’s not the NRL looking after us, it’s just that we’re irrelevant. The big clubs and broadcasters don’t want to waste 2 games or free to air time on us. The Knights don’t bring ratings or big enough crowds, simple as that. The Bronx certainly don’t want to waste one of their homes games on us

That’s why we get the Raiders, Titans, Tigers, etc and usually either the Sharks or Dragons twice every year.

Channel 9 made the mistake of giving them a lot of free to air games after 23 when they were actually good to watch. Unfortunately, in 24 we went straight back to being as dull as bat****, so I think it’s going to be a while before we’re trusted with many FTA games

We’ve been relegated to mostly 2 and 3 pm games this year so there shouldn’t be any excuse about playing some attacking footy

Nathan Ryan was great, did an excellent podcast while he was at the club getting memories from heaps of old boys … a precursor to Toohey who then did the same.

Then he left and the podcast just went to the dogs, and has now disappeared completely.

According to what I read on here the NRL gives us the easiest draw every year to promote close results, but then the refs and bunker destroy us every week because the NRL hates us and wants us to lose every week. 💁🏻‍♂️
