Yeah mate so much of what our club would want to do over the next 5 years at least is predicated on her and if she’s gone it’s like… okay I guess I’ll come back later when this **** is sorted? Like it will be so hard to care.

And I kind of get from Jesse’s perspective why she’d go *putting aside personal stuff*. I don’t think the Knights can justify matching the money. It would be an environment where everyone is professional and she can train with a full squad more. It guarantees those Blues and Jillaroo jerseys. I get it, it just sucks.

Hearing Tiana Penitani-Grey talk about it, I think she definitely does and is specifically opting to remain at the Sharks for this reason. But they’re not all gonna do it.

I thought it was reported last year that it was Tamika and Hannah were dating and that’s part of why she left to go to Dragons and then Tamika bailed back to broncos

So that’s interesting if it is actually Jessie as she might want those breaks up clauses in that contract as Tamika a far more important player than Jessie is at the moment when look at our last season with Tamika to this year without and how Broncos flying this year with her back and running the show seemingly

I think Georgia Roache has probably been our better half this year especially her running game but we need an out and out half to replace Jessie then, especially a decent kicker. i know we signed a u19 QLD half not long ago so maybe already planning future wise

Jesse has been the better half this year but Georgia played better last year. This year the playing style has been totally tailored to Jesse.

The girl from Queensland is called Ella-Jaye Harrison-Leaunoa and she's a five-eighth/fullback rather than a 7. I suspect if Jesse does walk out on us they will play Georgia at 7 next year and quietly move EJHL onto a top 24 deal next year, and she'll play 6. From what I saw watching U19's Origin, she looked better than the Blues halves (Evie McGrath & Kasey Reh), both of whom get picked over Evie Jones, even though Qld lost. A classier ball player.

OTOH Losana Lutu looked like the next big thing a couple of years ago and now she wouldn't even be in the top 20 halves running around probably, so you never know.

I was never sure why she left with such haste, I’ve just always been bitter with the “family reasons” and signed with the Broncos while the doors were still swinging after her exit.
I’d actually assumed she didn’t like the new coach, when a handful of decent players went in quick succession, I thought they were the same.

Glad some of them get it. I assume Apps is probably another also, otherwise why stay at the Tigers. Berry as well.

At some point is it not going to get pretty boring for them if Roosters and Broncos keep beating everyone else by 30+

Shame the NRL don’t get it all or care too. Apparently they want to bring in the Dolphins and Panthers as well in 27 🤦‍♀️

Don’t see how that can work unless everyone moves to full-time. With the Women’s Rugby World Cup being held here in 2029. If they don’t have more money in place for them, they could definitely lose a few to the Wallaroos
 
Pretty depressing situation that the Knights can fairly comfortably make it to a prelim but don’t have any conceivable path to victory.

Short of Tamika having to go off injured in the first few minutes, I can’t make any sort of case for a Knights win here unfortunately. I don’t think I even want to watch it tbh

I think you could maybe make a case for the Sharks getting the upset if Biddle and Dodd both play, and they shift Verran to fullback. Outside of that, I can’t see how they do it either.

Shame, because the best thing for the comp and the also funniest outcome of all would be Knights v Sharks GF.
 
Our HVN side has to send a couple of important players to Qld in White and Morris and the Sharks get to play the day before and use their full squad.
I still think we will be too good for the Sharks, but last week and this week it seems things are stacked against us.
 
Probably won't happen but it'd be great to see the Sharks upset the Roosters tonight. Just to see how the Roosters coach and captain react.
 
Flicking between the 9 and Fox coverage and was just wondering who the Broncos are playing this arvo?
 
First women's game I've had the chance to watch this year ... will see how long I last ... maybe not long based on that opening! 😬
