so does everyone and it’s bloody warranted! don’t see why this is an issue
I also have a theory around why we get this style of coverage. Our club gives nothing to the media, creating A) more rumours, but B) a bit of bias against us because we’re not giving them anything to talk about.

So Ennis was at Raiders in 2019 as a consultant they were runners up that season. He was then at Eels in 2022 as a consultant when they made the grand final, then Sharks in 2023 when they came 6th. then 2024-25 at Manly as a consultant where they finished 7th and now are 10th… so whoever thinks he has had a terrible coaching career is just straight up wrong

People have some weird ideas about commentators … most get bagged out for being negative and criticising us … but they’re generally saying very similar things to what we’re saying watching the game lol.
Yeah but it’s cute when WE do it! Most unbecoming when we pay to hear only nice words and it doesn’t happen. ☹️

Ennis would be a disaster. The players would have listened to him run them into the ground in commentary time and time again. The only person worse would be Warren Smith.
Cheika all the way.

I don't find Ennis as anti-Knights like most people.

His biggest problem is he loves the sound of his own voice and goes overboard jizzing over Noithan Cloiry.
You must be deaf if you don’t hear it. I still have memories of him talking up non stop about the Bulldogs in a game against us in 2023 and how much they were on top of us. We ended up winning 42-6 but it couldn’t stop Ennis the ****.

I’m not one of the knobs who threatens to throw in their membership if the club signs someone but if we signed Ennis I’d consider it.

As I said earlier Ennis more loves the sounds of his voice than anything else.

I personally think Blocker and Corey Parker hate the Knights far more than Oinis ever does.

On the Bulldogs 42-6 2023 game, I didn't watch that game with the FOX coverage. Listened to the 9 coverage instead.

He's not fkn wrong though, we've been **** and he's paid for his commentary, analysis and opinion. SO what's the damn issue, we have been **** and he's stating the truth, maybe his honesty will be the wake up call some of our squad needs!

My updated coaching list...
Head Coach: Justin Holbrook or Micheal Cheika
Assistant Defence: Brian McDermott
Assistant Attack: James Maloney
Consultants: Mick Ennis & Steve Simpson

that's a coaching staff of 5 people with 3 being ex-newy, keep Green and Dobson running pathways and that takes 5 of our 7 as ex-newy

I have seen a few people throw Maloney around as an assistant, I think he is someone we dont need at the club culture wise. It feels like we started moving away from the booze culture that was reported to be pretty rampant through the club for a long time and wouldn't want him to help bring that back.

Interesting, Ennis comes off as a hyper-critical twat, however he reminds me of ex Man Utd players who do the same about their team. A lot of these guys are legends. One club. Utd. But the past 10 years have been so mediocre and the rot it turns out started at the top (surprise). These club legends have slammed Utd on a weekly basis for probably over 6 years. They do it because the want more and expect more.

Not sticking up for Ennis. Still think he’s a twat. Always did. But maybe he is venting. Maybe I’ve got it completely wrong and he is just pure tw*t through and through.

I still haven't seen a single name put up who seems like a premiership winning coach, or even an upgrade on O'Brien.

If they can't find a top coach, just give someone like Matt Lantry a caretaker role and keep looking till you find one.

For the first time in Knights history we could afford anyone - we don't have to give Rick Stone assistant coach money to do the job.

We won't attract top players unless we have a top coach. It all starts from there.

If our coach next year is Blake Green, we have lost before the first training session - and same goes for just about everyone discussed so far.

Wests have spent a lot of money on all sorts of things that should make us more competitive, but for some reason won't chuck in an extra million a year to find the head coach that could bring all the pieces together and make us a premiership chance.

I'll give whoever they choose a chance to impress, hoping they have found a diamond in the rough who will be the next big thing, but I'd much rather we spent part of our 2.5 million profit to bag us one of the current big things.

Who would you target Billy? Do you have any names in mind?
