2025 Season

On last night's 2nd game, Sam Walker has been outstanding the last few weeks. Him and Savala have been great together which makes the likely DCE signing even more pointless.
I’d feel very hard done by if I was Savala.

He’s been great in his rookie season but someone has to make way for the giraffe.

Imagine a world where we trade Hastings, Gamble and Cogger for Katoa.
A few years ago I was frequently expressing this crackpot idea that the NRL has now become too hard for halves in their teens/early 20’s to have any success, and the smart play is to look for guys 24 and over who’ve done a long reserve grade apprenticeship and know their own games inside and out. Pointing to guys like Hughes, Fogarty, Hynes and Cody Walker as my evidence for this.

Since then?
Sam Walker, Isaiya Katoa, Ethan Strange, Lachlan Galvin, massive improvement from Tom Dearden after his rocky start, Lykhan King-Togia looks like he’s legit. Then even the next tier down of guy like Savala, Sandon Smith, Jamie Humphreys, who are still very young & have done a bit but not a massive amount of Cup like guys like Fogarty did, have also looked good, very composed.

One of my takes absolutely destroyed by the events which happened straight after it yet again.

Anyway if we already had POS in 2022 then yes there’s a very good chance Isaiya Katoa would be our #7 right now.

Brown at one stage was two men in on the right and put his outside man through a hole with some sick movement at the line, then to my absolute horror watched as Brown wasnt even bothered to follow the play, he stopped his run at the line as the ball carrier broke through

The ball carrier needed a runner back on the inside for a try scoring opportunity and Brown was just chillin in the same spot from which he passed the ball 😂

I dgaf what role Brown plays next year but he better not be putting in those sorts of efforts in a Knights jersey. Embarrassing tbh
