As we all know the Blues won the first game in Brisbane, so they can take out the series with a victory in this game.

As mentioned in another thread, Queensland have dropped DCE and replaced him with Tom Dearden, the full Queensland team is below:

Maroons coach Billy Slater has axed his captain Daly Cherry-Evans and handed the halfback duties to Tom Dearden as Queensland look to turn their fortune around in Ampol State of Origin Game Two.

The Blues team will be named after the completion of the game between the Bulldogs and Eels this afternoon.

I hope the Blues play to something approaching their potential in game two and have a resounding victory over the Maroons.

It will be interesting to see how Ponga performs in this game.

Yeah the Blues team is perfect aside from it should absolutely be Keaon over Stefano. Stef is the kind of guy who can lose you the game if it's close. Fortunately I don't think it will be.

Seriously does Billy think there's a draft he's tanking for? What is doing.

It really feels like we've flipped from the Qld 8 in a row years, where yeah it never seemed like the Blues had GREAT options... but even factoring that in, the coaches always seemed to pick the very worst out of those bad options.

NSW 48 Queenland 0. I think it's gonna be a bloodbath.

Queensland side is nearly as bad as 2020. Still abit wary because we managed to bottle it then, surely we can’t do it again.
 
It might actually be worse. I know Ponga is a hefty upgrade on Corey Allan, but the pack they had in 2020 was very good still. Their team this year has one of the worst forward packs we've seen at this level.
 
I saw a clip today of Aaron Woods saying that Harry Grant is 0-6 as a starting hooker in Origin.

The 0-8 series run is in the history books now, but every time I get confident about NSW, I remind myself of the special calls QLD seem to get whenever they're in trouble because of the "magic of QLD" or some other Origin commentator BS.
 
Luai sucks. The rest of the NRL is very grateful that the Dally M isn’t awarded based on how much a player talks **** or jumps around on the spot for no reason when they have the ball.
