So next week we're looking at something like:

Kp
Marz
Best
Gags
Annan
Sharpe
Cogger
Leo
Crossland
Jones
KPP
Cant/Friz
Friz/Cant

Brailey
McEwen
Croker
Tyrone?

Watched the game whilst at the club as much as I could.

My take on the game is we were under the pump from the outset with Jsaf injured running on to the field, and another injury within 10 minutes cutting our bench rotation straight away.

But that doesn't excuse the drop balls and poor execution in attack. Against the dogs that don't give up many points you just can't afford to spend additional sets and energy defending set after set.

Greg needs to go, I love the blokes runs from our end, but his a liability under the high ball and always has been. He was the only target for the Dogs tonight. One comment I'll make is the try they scored from the cross field kick, dogs batted it back, if you have a player like Marz who you know is weak under the high ball, get your backside around behind him against the try line in case.
Fletcher and another just jogging alone sideways, suddenly showing urgency when Greg fumbles it just isn't good enough.

We still, don't seem to be able to approach a game of footy like a professional, clinical unit.

And Cogger, a witches hat would be more useful in attack.

Good part was the 20 points again, Dogs really should be won that by 30+

Kyle McCarthy will come in with Gagai moving to the wing maybe IMO.

I’m not sure why you’re rubbing Elliott out, I don’t think he’ll get suspended. The guy fell into him.

Hmmmmm…..
Dare I say, it was a gutsy defensive performance, but some popgun attack.
Our halves were thoroughly outplayed and outclassed, but not behind a beaten pack because our forwards did an admirable job after losing JSaf at 0:01 and Cant moved to the centres in the first 2 minutes.
Then having a 15 man team for the rest of the game, they were all pretty gassed by the second half.
So no real criticism for the forwards, they did their bit.
Cogger, Sharpe and Ponga were disappointing though, and couldn’t create chances between the three of them. I’m not a Cogger hater, but he had a shocker. Sharpe is a good ball runner, but I think being at 6 is not his position. He got monstered in defence today, and looked out of his depth for the first time . Ponga backed up a poor performance against the Titans with another one against the dogs . Our most highly paid player, and captain couldn’t even muster a try assist.
It might be the elephant in the room, but he started this year so well , I wonder where his head is at when we are under the pump and need some leadership and creativity. Strawberry milkshakes ?

And I believe it’s the first time I’ve ever seen a player injure himself running on to the field. Warmups yes, first tackle yes ,but never running on. Quite embarrassing.

He'd have to get upgraded from train and trial contract to do that, Annan and Fletcher Hunt probable.

Feel like Crossland will get suspended for the tripping, rare that's just a fine. So in comes Arthur

They don't have a specific tripping charge anymore so it's probably contrary conduct? I reckon he's more likely to get a fine that Elliott tbh.

If McCarthy has been getting named in the 22 I assume his right to get named in the 17. Think it’ll be him, Jones and KPP in. If we lose Crossy/Elliott than Arthur and Tyrone in as well. Imagine they’ll be sweet. Cogger copped a couple of knocks and touched it out for us, but if Gamble was fit I’d chuck him straight in the 7.

Ponga needs to step up, he just seems so lost out there at the moment. Not sure what's going on.
As has been said about Brown next year, if you're happy to take the huge dollars you're offered, you must be dominating and winning games for your team regularly. He was poor today and has to be better. 6 points from 160 minutes of football in the last 2 games isn't good enough.

I watched the back end of Cup and Tyrone Thompson was a beast, can't imagine he'd be far from firsts.

Saw the JSaf injury live at the ground, just happened to be looking at him as it occurred. Went for a quick sprint in the in goal as they ran out and he came up ginger. Tried to run it off but never looked right, called for the trainer pretty quickly, didn't take a hit up in the first set and then struggled in defence.

I reckon if we cut back on the errors and are able to build some pressure, then suddenly the spine starts to look more threatening.

It’s been a huge problem all season long, so far.

I’m wondering what it is. We were good with ball security last year. Is it because we’re trying to throw the ball around a bit more? (Obviously tonight I know fatigue had a huge impact but our ball security was bad before this game).

Why doesn’t Sharpe help with the kicks? He’s a 6. Heaps of people are saying he’s gonna be half back next year. Can we see some sort of kicking game from him?
We did see him kick once and it was a shocker. Hope his kicking game is better than that.

I'm convinced Crossy stifles our attack. If he misses a game we will certainly miss his defensive work but I reckon his absence will coincide with a reinvigorated attack.

The sooner Arthur is playing, the better, because Brailey is gone next year. AOB needs to be giving Arthur as much time as possible to grow and learn in FG
