Thought Tommy Cant was immense tonight. Think Dogs thought they had an easy go with hime at centre but he didn't give an inch with Gags outside of him. Well done mate.

McEwen did 80mins and was beyond spent in end but he did team proud defensively, go no good ball but ran very hard for majority of game, well done too.

Braddy Best Defence is ****ing elite. Everyone fobs off over Crighton (and fair enough) but Braddy is no worse. He easily contained Crighton.

Defensively, they should be pretty proud. 2 tries from kicks and just a late bargey try on an exhausted Rookie by one guy I miss terribly in KMann. Plenty other teams would have got 50 put on them!

we had no answer or patience when it came to attack, KP has taken a backwards step from his involvement in last couple weeks and gun shy. Needs the killer instinct to keep going for the team. I'm desperate for no Cogger, whether that means Hastings I don't now, his attack is great but defensively he probably isn't the answer, though to be fair probably no worse than Cogs. Desperate for Gamble. No idea on his return time though.

Crossy could get a week for tripping, usually get suspended for that. Bring in Arthur who attack wise is 10 times Crossy and Brails.
Might lose Elliot too for the high shot

Jones for Jsaf

KPP looked to have his hand in a cast in a social post so the broken hand seems legit(Thanks Knights for telling us jack squat by the way)
Cant to 13, don't think Lucas is back yet sadly. Need him for rest of the season so take his time with the Hammy.
McEwen can keep going at 11. Think he can handle it

McCarthy if he's been upgraded to top 30 or development to wing. Other wise I'd put Huntor Annan in. Both great in Cup game

At what point is Marzhews glaring weakness going to be enough to over do the fact that he runs well?

No wonder we stink, we can have someone have a game like ****ing that and go “nah it’s alright that you sucked, you can put one leg in front of the other fast, who cares about your lack of hands, Ariel ability or lack of brain” people talk about DB and his limitations, Marzhew LITERALLY ONLY DOES ONE THING, and some how that means he can never be dropped.

Cant wait for AOB to keep picking him at least it will be his downfall and he can be kicked to the curb I’m so sick of year after year of this ****

But here we go again right “their defence was good though, they were committed” couldn’t give a rats arse, we have literally seen this before and they do nothing.
Agree Greg has to go. Everyone loves his carries, but he puts us under so much pressure with inability to compete in the air

I dont think best did him many favours tonight. Could of filled the space alot better on quite a few occasions.
Reality is marz is always gunna be a target in the air, his not going to improve. We either protect him better or sacrifice his start of set carries and put someone else there.
Agree, a big part of the problem is Coggers kicking game. Because his long kicks are so poor, the other team is getting the ball on at least the 20 which allows other teams the chance to put it an attacking kick nearly every set.

No team is winning anything when they give up so many metres to the opposition every set

Result was disappointing but understandable under the circumstances, two very early injuries causing a reshuffle but the first half defensive effort was good and determined but obviously took its toll
Some, most on here need to go back to start of game and read the comments made on here, surely you understand that the loss of players early was going to mean a very exhausted team for second half.
Our pack/forwards played strong with a lot of effort against a side that is undefeated, Cant played strong out of position, McEwen looks promising, Leo, Friz, Elliott were strong, be interested to see the minutes played of each.
Yes Cogger was ordinary as was Sharpe his worst game, Ponga quiet.
Hopefully we have no serious injuries except for maybe JSaf and have KPP back and Jones is brought back. If Schiller is out, likely HIA like to see a young guy come in rather than someone like Cant filling in

Why doesn’t Sharpe help with the kicks? He’s a 6. Heaps of people are saying he’s gonna be half back next year. Can we see some sort of kicking game from him?

Defensively I think they were great. To only concede 20 playing the whole game 2 players short and copping a sin bin was impressive. That’s the sort of energy and effort you want to see every week.

The attack will come. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Thought Kiraz should’ve been binned for that push. That’s was far more dangerous then Crosslands trip (which haven’t been since bins for years) and could’ve ended terribly for Greg.

Dogs kicking game to Marzhew was good, clever, field position allowed for very high kicks over shortage distance allowing Kiraz time to compete for the ball, sometimes Marzhew was deep and had to run forward to compete, he is better when he is settled under the ball rather than running, Dogs exploited it very well.
Marzhew running the ball out is more beneficial than his problems with the taking of bombs

The biggest issues isn't so much the loss, it's how terrible our attack looks. Unless we get a line break from one of the stars we have nothing. 20m out and a full set, you know nothing will come from it. There's no creativity, looks like they don't know what to do. I blame Cogger, but the whole team looks like they don't know what to do and when.

Biggest thing we can learn from that is observing the way the Dogs did not get frustrated at all by our defence and their attack not clicking. They didn’t change a thing and stuck to the game plan. You have to give Toby Sexton a lot of credit for that who I thought was probably the best player on the field and he’s what people think Jamal Fogarty is.

Marzhew is a concern. The fact he’s had more shockers than good games this year is concerning. He normally has about 3 or 4 a year.
We’d miss his carries too much if we drop him and the fact we’ll likely be without another 2 middle forwards next week we can’t afford to drop one of our few players who are capable of making metres.

Unfortunately because of the bagging AOB got about changing his halves constantly and the club trying to unload Hastings if they possibly could
We will be stuck with the same halves unless Cogger gets injured or Gamble makes his return

But 4 games in and he hasn’t done anything worth staying in the team for and now KP and sharpe are going backwards as forwards are being dominated and we have no attack to bring momentum back to us

We need change though and he should be happy to cop the papers doing their crap about changing halves as we can’t let the season be gone by round 10 with another 2-3 ordinary games in a row

The Titans game was more disappointing than this. You can't do much when you are deprived of the ball near 3-40% more and that is coming from our bad ball control and patience, that's stung our season so far. We held the ball in one game and played very well.

No Lucas or KPP last couple weeks
No Thompson week before that
No Jsaf or Schiller for this game. It hasn't been easy and we haven't responded well with patient attack and good kicking game.

Control the ball first and foremost, win the possession and we'll be doing much better, Harz is right, it's round 5 settle the slit throats brigade.

Two home games and we need to win both. Get some troops back and continue on the season.

Assuming we will be without JSaf and Schiller we will have basically the same side although Elliott and Crossland could be doubtful, on report.
Jones B for Saf, Any of 1-5 Cup player for Schiller, Tyrone T for Elliott and Brailey to 9 with Arthur bench for Crossland if needed

I love Marz but as fans we shouldn’t all hold our breath collectively whenever the ball goes up to his corner. Great runner with the ball though.

Not a worry in the air on the other side under the high ball, though wonder who we go with for next week? Aoke (spelling) Hunt, Votano?

Anyone want a run in the front row for Newcastle next week?
Sure, I'm a year off 60 so I wouldn't expect the Knights recruiting to offer $1.3 million divided by 26.Lets say 40k instead of Dbilbo's 50k a game. The should just about cover the Medical bills and/or funeral expenses. I'd be very happy to take less and do a hammy in the run on. 🤑🤑🤑
