Only 5 more sleeps until hopefully we see our new halves combination in action. I’m excited to watch how Sharpe performs at 5/8 and see who ends up partnering him in the halves. Hopefully the rest of the team will be very fit and we try to play an attacking style of rugby league.

Even though it’s just a trial it would be good to beat the Eels.

IIRC we were all super pumped after our NSW Cup side won the first trial last year ... that optimism quickly evaporated haha.
 
Yeah beyond hopefully no one getting injured, if I see the key guys who'll actually play round 1 run through some shapes and it looks pretty nice, I'm happy, even if the team loses 36-16. Who cares.
 
Exactly, the saying is practice how you want to proceed, or something like that.

Trials are meaningless beyond trying combinations, getting a run in etc. But, you can't practice anything if you keep dropping the ball constantly which is a trial staple of ours. Well, you can practice defence, maybe thats what OB was going for?

Anyway, I'm telling myself im not going to care about the trials, I promise not to call for OB's head in the trials :lol:
