Does anybody know if they are doing a flegg/nsw cup trial beforehand also or just the main game

As club doesn’t let you know people like Liam Sutton, paul Bryan, Francis Manulelua, Taj Annan etc must be injured then also to not get a go

The eels team is a strong one. If we can just beat them or make it a close game I think that’s a win. Our team is very junior heavy. Riley jones is a very good defender so keen to see him at centre.

Think it was mentioned on here recently that Annan had picked up an injury.

Haven't seen any sign of Sutton around since early in the preseason from memory, but don't think there'd be many halves minutes to go around anyway. I imagine Sharpe will play the majority of the game, with Cogger/Gamble both given significant time alongside him, and then you've got Hastings & Fletcher Hunt in the extended squad as well.

My view on Hastings is that OBI knows the team is short a halfback and is low-key anticipating a mid season return for Hastings, form and behaviour permitting.

Facts are, aside from Hastings, Jack Cogger is the only halfback at the club lol. How OBI evades blame for this on this forum ill honestly never know.

Team would indicate that Frizz is moving to the middle permanently and Cant is next man up on an edge.
Cant likely won't make the 17. Lucas will slot back in and the bench spot will go to Elliot.

Frankly, Cant needs to demonstrate that he deserves to be in the 17. I haven't seen that as yet, I'd have both Jones and Croker either on an edge or in the middle before Cant.

In what sense? That there are only two halfbacks, or that those two are the ones we have?

I get that Lucas is straight back in, statement was more about Frizz being considered a permanent middle now and will play there Friday so not to disrupt his preparations for playing there.

Friz will move into middle rotation, Elliot will remain the 13, Bench will be Crossland, Friz, Jones, Hetherington (my guess).

If Elliot hasn’t got the runs on the board due to rehab most of pre season, then can see Cant getting run until Elliot is up to speed.
I’d rather Friz used as prop rotation more than 13. Let Brodie Jones be the starting 13 and rotation for that if need be when Elliot is back.
Frizz and Jsaf rotation and shorter minutes would be great for line speed and play the ball speed.
