I have actually recently been assessing how much of my life I spend watching sport between league and cricket, and it is a year round thing which takes so many hours of my life. I mean, I love it, but I am starting to feel a bit comic book guy.

Mate Ponga was out for a significant amount of 2023 and 2024 and we won a lot of games without him. I definitely want us to go to another level too, (it’s been such a long period of crap for all of us!), but let’s not change the narrative to suit the agenda.

Also the off field incidents you’re referring to: Tapine? That wasn’t even under the currently management it was so long ago and Pearce was at a different club lol.

If Knights were willing to pay the % of freight required Brailey would be gone already. Parra didnt value him as much as the Knights would have hoped- it really is that simple.

You sound way too emotive , being emotional is what makes a critical error in judgement. This is a game of chess, economics and management. Pure and simple. The cold hard facts are economics.

Simple supply and demand. Not a whole lot of demand for average. Although they do offer depth where needed, and most importantly should offer VALUE for the money.

You'll find the Bulldogs churning through their moneyball players ( sometimes early) , as they sign marque players to critical positions and filter in their juniors they've been developing since they won the spoon in 2021- by the way since Gould took over they are at the top in almost every comp.

To the doggies they're necessary cap fodder in the rebuild as they march towards success, to a Knights fan like you they're much more because average is acceptable.

The Dogs are on course to win a Premiership before the Knights.

As I already said before I dont care about off field stuff. I'm not a fan of the whole celebrity culture bird watching other peoples business . Means nothing to me and not a result of management. It was a response to a post that's it.

There you go. Emotional .It's isnt about loving someone buddy - It is about a cap and getting talent to win. Parra didnt value you him highly enough and who could blame them.

The absurdity to argue in defense of average is fascinating.

I love Cricket and Rugby League too.

My humble opinion is that we are best to spend our free time doing the things we enjoy doing. It does not matter how much time you spend doing them.

My wife and I lost a good friend of ours to cancer on Christmas Eve, she was 58. Everyone should try to enjoy life as much as possible while they can.

FFS You claimed the club was poorly run and then raised Tapine, a bloke who hasn't really done anything other than have a public spat and hasn't been at the club in a decade to shoot down the suggestion that the Knights have had a good public over the last 5 years.

And the suggestion that the culture doesn't matter is laughable and betrays no understanding of how clubs work or how the NRL makes its money.

Some average players that have been tapped on the shoulder recently I see some people making comments they should be extended. My god. Do they not realize they're currently available and no club is bashing down the door to sign them? They wouldn't see first grade in a roster making a tilt at the title - why oh why would anyone post they should be re-signed is beyond me.

The Coach, Rookie on training wheels no doubt. On the major exam of instilling culture he gets a C for mine. Dsaf should have been playing reserve grade years ago. If he was dropped then he'd most likely still be at the club and playing top footy. The acceptance of his bludging was a terrible terrible message to him and to the playing group. This and this alone makes me question if AOB is the right man. I cannot understate the awful impact this would have had on the playing group and culture at the club. To make matters worse Dsaf was a cancerous prick on the way out the door.

Having said that I dont think he could have done too much better given the cattle he's had to work with. In fact I would go so far as to say he's got the best out of an average lot. The spine is the worst in the comp or thereabouts, and lacks a true enforcer in the pack.

You complained about the clubs management right before complaining about the roster….did you miss the part where management signed a recruitment guy who literally started making roster changes right away? Isn’t this what you’d want? Sounds like you want to complain just for the sake of it tbh.

Anyway you’ve literally launched into an attack on a forum of posters in your second paragraph of your first ever post. I have zero respect for that type of thing. The Bulldogs supporter forum is called the Kennel btw - just in case you were lost.

No complaint , just facts. I find the club a bit like a Benny Hill episode. Hilariously bad. I do cop it from friends who know I support the Knights, but I'm able to laugh with them. My post was a statement of objective facts as I see them. Only the most ardently dogmatic Knights fans would argue contrary to the facts.

Results are all that matters, belief in stories about the future are becoming painfully thin.

Well the point has pretty much been illustrated perfectly hasnt it. The staunch defense of losing. Inspiring stuff.

you do realize that a forum is primarily revolving around discussion and exchange of ideas, and given the nature of the topic of this forum being footy that fans on a forum dont have control over anything? Sorta makes your statement a bit silly yeh.
