NRLW round 4 v Sharks Sunday 18th August - 1:45 pm PointsBet Stadium

Question will be getting stronger now

Did we do the right thing with Ronnie/Jeffries or is it just that the girls have a 2 strong season hangover so far
They have only played decently in about a quarter of each game this season and are lucky to even be 5th at moment really

Some players have stagnated and I think we need some young blood in the team.

Jones or Herdegen next week to play, McEwen/Finau to centre with other on bench for Kukatai who needs NSW cup time to adapt and roache to wing for White who’s struggling on wing

Predeborn and Butler to start, Rominuk not doing enough starting.

Really only have next 2 rounds to sort out otherwise season will be gone by then

White isn't upto the standards of the nrlw she's a liability on the wing

Jess southwell has been ordinary this year

Rommy needs to come of the bench and not start

As for the coach Jefferies effect is in full motion this team doesn't look close to anything they are capable off
And only 1 thing has changed that has caused it we looks disjointed, lethargic and out of sorts, regardless of us scoring 3 trys to 2
Ron's knights would off won that match

There is nothing smooth or cohesive, it’s really very worrying at the moment and I’m not sure BJ is the man to turn it around.

Sharks were solid but think they’re very beatable. They did nothing special today. We lost it more than they won it.

Players I thought would go up another level this year Abigail, Georgia and Rominauk have all regressed if anything.

Other teams are improving so they just have to get used to the fact that things aren’t going to be as easy before. Also we can’t get away with errors like we used to.

I wonder if the Origin players are just a bit flat after having to play 3 such big games before the season starts. Titans had a lot origin players and they’re in a similar boat? Not an excuse but they definitely need an injection of enthusiasm.

A lot of options I hadn't thought of.
Moving Upton to 5/8 and Lilly White to fullback is a radical plan.
Albert-Jones to 5/8 would be the safest pick. Roche can do the majority of the kicking.

Would be more open to Albert-Jones if Kukutai was going better, as it stands I’d rather keep her at second-row. Confident Upton would have no problems in attack but don’t think it’s worth giving her the extra workload in defence, she’ll have an increased role regardless. Less sold on Parker there, think she’s looked pretty limited as a ballplayer when filling in at fullback in the past. I’d lean towards just bringing Jones or Herdegen in and keeping the backline intact with Gallagher replacing White if she’s back.

While I don’t mind the idea of Upton at 5/8 because she’s our most creative player, I think it’s best to go with a proper half.

Also, think it’s best to have least amount of disruption possible, so i’d go with the one of the young halves to replace Jesse if they’re up to playing first grade.

Laishon has been playing so well on that right edge, I’d prefer to keep her there. Parker is the best defensive centre in the game and I wouldn’t move her unless desperate.

Speaking to a few closer to hq, they tell me we didn't even fight to keep Ron at the club. They are all kinda glad he is leaving because he had morals on how a football club should be run and all the sooks at the club couldn't deal with it. Problem lies right there.
What a joke!

He actually had success, probably didn’t like him making them all look bad lol

NSW Cup never felt like a good fit for him. I guess the thinking was we wanted him to have a fulltime role, and he didn't think he added much value as an assistant coach, so NSW Cup was the best option. But when you have a combination that works for the club, whether it's players or coaches, you just keep it going for as long as possible. Surely he could have been given a greater role in developing young players and pathways in the women's game?

Oh well, the Warriors knew what we had and pounced, he's gone now, and the club has messed up once again.

I know one thing, Ron will have success wherever he goes. He’ll always have players willing to play for him because he treats people with respect and knows how to get the best out of them.

The whole thing really pisses me off. Why were they so desperate for him to coach reserve grade then? Couldn’t they just have left him alone to manage the women’s program. Idiots!

Jamie Soward is full time at the Dragons now with their women’s program. I’m sure Ron’s role at the Warriors is too. So there’s no reason they couldn’t have given him that here. Game is only going to grow.
