I always thought he was a pacific Islander, but since I saw he was born in Hong Kong, I can't stop wondering if he is our first player with Chinese heritage.

So - is centre or wing his best position.
He is a tall guy who can leap and has good hands.
He is also pretty fast when he is in the clear, but he takes a bit to wind up.
He also isn't exactly a powerful ball runner, but I'm sure he will be after a bit more training.

We have a vacancy on the wing next year I think.

He’s not powerful like Marzhew for example but I’ve always found him to be a pretty good yardage player. He’s got that SKD/Edrick-type size, late footwork and awkward running style that helps him get in between/behind defenders and should become even more effective as he fills out.

The best performances I’ve seen from him were on the left wing during the SG Ball finals last year so I’d still lean towards wing but I don’t feel super strongly either way. I just think he’s a good outside back prospect overall.

Do we? Surely Marz and Sharp are locks for both wing spots. I also think for next year Tuala will be ahead of him.

Fox said Obi had mentioned him as a possible 5/8 in a pre game interview
Johns said pre-game he
thinks he’s and out and out fullback and we should ship Sharpe off to the Super League so he can develop as a fullback and just bring him back if KP is injured 🤦‍♀️

Never mind that the Storm have Meaney, Hughes and Munster in their backline who were all fullbacks with someone in their way but were developed into other positions.

Sharpe is already doing well as a winger and who knows how he could develop over the offseason and played halves as a junior.

Insane if that's what he said. I don't get this argument he needs to play fullback. That might be his best position but if he's going great at wing for us why would that not be good enough?

With McCarthy showing potential, Schiller maybe being signed, Gagais and Best incumbents hard to see us extending Tuala or Maps maybe one but not both and we still have Jenkins on books for 2025

Joey has been on that idea for a while, not just a Sharpe thing. Reckons clubs should basically loan young players to Super League teams and bring them back over when necessary.
