NRL Round 23 - Knights V Tigers - 4:05pm Sunday 11 August - McDonald Jones Stadium

After an encouraging performance against the premiers, the Knights take on the last placed Tigers at home on a Sunday afternoon. The Tigers have lost their last 6 games, will the Knights be able to win for their fans or will they fail to perform?

Since the season is gone, I wouldn’t mind seeing Gamble at halfback and Pryce at 5/8. Considering we have resigned Gamble and Pryce is still around next year, I would like to see what their combination is like. Better to try it now than at the start of next year. Pryce needs more game time to get him ready for next year.

I would also love to see some young blokes get a crack too.

For those people saying Ponga is over paid and not performing, what do you expect him to do in a mediocre team?? Put the bloke in any of the top 4 side and I guarantee he would win another Dally M.

Don’t agree. We play similar to today we should beat the Tigers. I don’t think AOB will change the spine.

Have a go. He had 5 runs for 30m at half time.
I think both points are valid. KP is too lackluster to justify his status and paycheck. He needs to better understand the impact of perceptions (and attitude plus poor stats don’t make for good fan reading).

But I do think he’s been expecting by the team and the clown hierarchy to single handedly pull this team into a GF. If we had a competent coach and 2-3 other genuine stars (or up and comers) I reckon we’d easily get our moneys worth.

The similarities between the past decade and how the club is run vs my beloved Man Utd is depressingly scary. The amount of stars that circus has busted while they happily drain millions (per month).

Reserve grade stats are in.
Jackson Hastings started at lock and played 80 minutes. He made an incredible 25 runs for 161 metres and was second highest tackler with 26. 0 missed.
He also had 2 try assists and 2 linebreak assists.
He only had 33 post contact metres, so wasn't exactly bending the line much.
He didn't shirk the work at lock.
57 fantasy points behind only Will Pryce on 73 (who scored a try and kicked goals - so got extra points for that)

I think with JSaf likely out, it's time to move Friz to the middle. Lucas doesn't have the lateral movement in defence to play out in the centres. And he clearly proved that he can be a great back rower, arguably our best and most consistent player this season when playing 2nd row.

If i'm being totally honest, i don't think KPP has been playing great. I understand he isn't used great, but he is consistently missing some crucial tackles leading to breaks, and some errors creeping into his game. I'd argue Lucas should be starting on either 2nd row spot.
