Then do something about it!
The coach is responsible for the team and its strategies. If the players can’t deliver it, do something about the ones not pulling their weight. Manly have just actioned Josh Schuster, it didn’t work out so they let him go. We have to do the same with some of our under performing middles, and we all know who they are.
Doing the same thing with players who are on big dollars and don’t get out of first gear and expecting them to “find form one day” is absolute madness.

And funnily enough, the favourable questions and reception he got from his media mates in the press conference was just nauseating!
He wasn’t hunted like the Souths coach, he just threw a few one liners about next weeks’ game against the Sharks and was let right “ off the hook”.
And the commentary at the beginning of the game(while Saints were still in it) from Ennis was just appallingl

Great point with Josh Schuster. He still had 3 year on his deal. He obviously did have the right attitude. Ben trobvorich did.

Everything that comes out of that punch drunk idiots mouth is just appalling. He sounds like Clarence from the Big Lez show

Shouldn’t cost you heaps to offload a player, if not performing, severance pay etc, shown the door and look for another job or dole, find another to fill the vacancy
 
The players have signed a contract and the clubs have to honour that. If you want to put in vague performance conditions to your contracts then I don’t think you’ll be signing many players, they’ll go elsewhere.

Don’t think we’d like it if our workplaces just suddenly said we don’t like your performance at work, you’re out and we’re not paying you what you’re owed.

Fair enough James , but a lot of positions have KPI's & their are consequences if they are not met

Obviously if everyone was on board and the clauses weren’t vague. Don’t perform, get constructive criticism to work on. Don’t do that then you can leave. Seems simple to me
 
You'd never sign another player with contracts like that, I guess some people would be happy with 30 good old local buys trying hard (and coming last).

Maybe before we sign forwards to long term contracts they have a couple of sessions with a shrink to ascertain whether the are grizzly bears or teddy bears
