Fittler gone as NSW coach

That's a bit of a shock.

Cleary might be a contender? Although I think he's said in the past he doesn't think it's possible to coach an NRL team and a rep team at the same time.
 
I really hope it’s not Stuart. He is not getting decent results with Canberra and seems to have way too may issues. I think appointing as the Blues coach would be a big mistake.

Cleary would be an excellent choice if he is interested.
 
Andrew Ryan coached the NSW under 19s and has been part of the SOO coaching set up for a bit.
I think he has been doing something with Canterbury this year as well as coaching South Newcastle.
He was very good as our reserve grade coach a few years ago and is, of cause, a former NSW and Australian player.

The problem is that I reckon Billy is good at getting the boys up AND he game plans really well. They do such a good job of taking time and space away from the opposing halves.
 
For guys like Joey, Bedsy, Brandy and Freddy to walk away from Blues coaching roles, something really bad must have happened.

It gets our 2024 Origin campaign off to a bad start.
 
A whole new approach wouldn't hurt.
Give it to Paul Gallen and have him threaten to fight anyone who doesn't have a go.

I can't see how you could give it to a current NRL coach, too much involved in being an NRL head coach these days to allow enough time to focus on Origin.

Bobcat will do something special with coaching eventually, whether he's experienced enough now is another question but I wouldn't shy away from that prospect with the right team alongside him.

Would love for Matty Johns to throw his hand up but he's continually ruled himself out of the coaching arena.

Toovey assisted Samoa to a maiden WC final but their results throughout the tournament were inconsistent.

Sounds like Spud also wants to get involved with the Blues forwards in bringing the mongrel out in them - I'd think most of them would be too **** scared not to get out and give it to the cane toads vs go back into the sheds and having Spud up in your grill 🤬🤬🤬,
