maybe I'm way over confident in saying we dont need Ponga to defeat the Raiders?. They're so woeful they made the Sharks look good.

If the extra week recovery makes a huge difference to his injury then I'd strongly consider leaving him out. The Warriors in NZ the week after will be a much more difficult proposition, and then the Storm after that even more so.

I'm a bit mentally scared from the Zeb Taia/Isaac De Gois both gone after five minutes debacle in our week one finals game in 2009 haha.

With his shoulder is there a big chance of getting something worse or is it more a pain thing?

I’d rather a busted Ponga than a fully fit Miller, so I’d be playing him.

I’ve always thought putting smallish stands above the hills would be an easy way to keep the tradition and also add around 4 to 5k in capacity. Probably wouldn’t happen but I like the sentiment.

Yeah that’s the area I’m talking about, it’s not really used for anything much atm.

it needs to push the 40000 mark the last redevelopment put it up to 33000 but some tosser reduced it to 30k any new reno needs to put it up to 40k like the original concept plan
 
Look at the judiciary reports from Raiders games of late. I wouldn’t start Ponga unless we are certain we can’t win without him. Put him in 14 and see how we go in the first half. If Raiders score more than 3 points which is above their weekly average them bring him on.

Would much rather play Gagai at fullback if KP can’t play much safer and a big game player. Can’t risk Miller, too many errors and runs around like a headless chook. Not to mention awful defence and positioning. Can’t risk him mistaking the try line with the dead ball line again.

Exactly, pointless discussion.

If Ponga can play, he will be. Period.

As for the ground, I'd like to see the hills remain, but maybe build something above them like the top tiers of each grand stand to link the end rooflines. But, likely that will shad the Nothern end too much and make keeping grass on the hill a nightmare.

Either way the ground holds 30k as is, which is a fair effort.

Problem is for whatever reason the police won’t allow more than 30k in so no point developing when it won’t get used
