Yeah that warrior's guy is a decent human being and not just here to troll.

I kinda feel sorry for cowboyman has been on the forum forever just to troll he really mustn't have much going on in his life if this is what brings him happiness its sad really.
 
I think we do good to make 10th maybe 9th, that reflects on how we played this season. Dont think we desever to be 14th on the ladder.
To make a strong 8th spot we need to win games consistently and do you really think this team has that in them from what we seen this year?

We will know after we play Melbourne if we are going to scrape into the 8
 
We've sucked the entire year.

Play two good games against two of the shlltest teams of the NRL era in the Dogs and Tigers, and its like the entire fan base has been hit with one of those Men in Black memory erasing devices.

We're still below par, people. Nothing has changed. Melbourne will dominate the middle and we'll go back to being too tired to do anything effective in attack and lose 13+

The sooner everyone wakes the fk up and stays angry the sooner we'll have a new coach and at least the potential for a brighter future.

We’ve only lost three games this year 13+, not saying it won’t happen against the Storm but it hasn’t been common this season.

Nothing wrong with people having a bit of hope. How angry we are has precisely zero affect on who our coach is.

It’s too late in the season to see what a new coach will do so replacing him now will achieve nothing. Poor Danny Buderus can attest to that. If we had a carbon copy of last year then AOB would have been gone a month or more ago and everyone would be screaming about the new coach already.

The stats need to be considered. We are up there amongst most tries scored this year when we scored about 7 last year. Our completion rate is high, kick metres tackles inside opposition 20. Our second phase has improved, offloads and points gained have gone up and penalties and points conceded have come down. I see a lot of people say silly things like, “the goal kicking would have changed nothing” for weeks, if not months now but sitting a point or 2 outside the 8 when 20% better conversion rate would have around 6th or higher.

I wanted AOB gone months ago but as the season progresses and the preferred coaches have signed on elsewhere the stats tell a different story. Maybe his vision is closer than people including myself have given him credit for. So many games got so agonisingly close. Yes we have still lost games but some of those games we’ve lost by a try or less, last year it could have easily been by 5 or 6 tries and more often than not it was.

Fingers crossed goal kicking is a major focus in the off season.

That would be because it's true, the only game we scored more tries than the opponents and lost was against the panthers.
 
Scored same number of tries as Manly.

If both teams kick 100% still lose Cowboys and Roosters games because they had also had a penalty goal attempt.
 
When we have missed some of those goals, it hasn't just been the final result that the misses have influenced, it has been the flow of the game as well. The Penrith game as an example, if we kick one of the early goals there, the opposition mindset is different. If they are done by 8 instead of 6 with 15 to go and have struggled to score points, they are playing completely different. Affects you too, when both teams have scored 2 tries and you are the team that's behind. That's the value of penalty goals sometimes.

If this season existed in a world where no one ever missed a kick at goal the Knights have 8 wins and 2 draws instead of 7 wins and 1 draw.

Would still be behind 9 teams in terms of wins/losses when you account for the byes, but right in the mix for finals instead of a mathematical hail mary only.
 
A bye only guarantees 2 points if Knights win at same time then still only 1 point diff and the teams just above us likely play each other at some stage.
I know it’s all unlikely but “Hope springs eternal”.
Now back to that dream
