Adam O'Brien replacement?

What is the benefit of keeping Obi?
What has he done well?

Time for a change, we need to try something new.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Agreed, but sacking AOB would also fit in that category of doing the same thing over and over again. Bennett quit, Stone sacked, Browny sacked, and now AOB in line to be sacked. AOB hasn't performed well and probably should be moved on, but I have serious doubts that whoever comes in to replace him will do any better. I don't know what the answer is, but I don't know that changing coaches will be enough.

a fish rots from the head, this is a management issue, front office. How many staff have they churned through? some good people among the discards as well.

Is it possible Wests Group are trying to run an NRL club on the cheap ? or are they just incompetent ?

Wests have had Browny and now AOB as head coaches. Lots of churn in assistants though is my understanding

Asking the wrong questions though, this is made up. AOB already said it was a decision made by the leadership group and I do believe that.
the Murdoch Media MO " if there isnt a story, make one "

No direct quotes, no sources, nothing but a quote from a alcoholic hack who says "I'm hearing that ......."

Just because the leadership group (which includes Ponga) made the decision doesn’t mean the rest of the group agree with it or don’t see the double standards. At the end of the day, it’s on AOB’s watch.

1000%. You really can’t get any less credible than Fox anything but then throw in that incoherent, p!ss addled sh!t for brains Buzz (who needs the truth) Rothfield. Seems he and Phil the Ghoul have a major issue with Newcastle.

Rothfield has a Ponga thing, he went berko over the toilet cubicle, you'd think the kid was responsible for the holocaust.

Same as Hooper has it in for Luai

They know which players get the clicks

Gallen and Anasta also can’t stand Newcastle. Perhaps the Murdochracy still harbours hatred since the super league days

Who knows how all those guys personally feel, but the fact is Newcastle is an easy target for criticism by the media. That's what happens when you become the least successful club of the last 20 years. That is no joke, outside of the Dolphins and Titans, every other team has made a grand final since 2001. Something has gone terribly wrong for us to be the club in that position.

yes but it could be argued that the Knights are a new club since Wests took over, there's been a major rebuild of the whole organization, and after how many years of ownership ? we are bottom dwellers.

For those that think sacking AOB for Maguire or Hasler is the answer....
basically what I asked in a previous post, Is it AOB or the management?

They've churned through lot of staff. The next question would be why? Did they leave ? or were sacked ?

Agree with Alex here. Brad Arthur has had a long tenure with the Eels and they reached the GF last year, perhaps the stability helped with that. I'm not convinced that another coach would do a better job for us. Our recruitment and personnel need to be improved though.
