Bradman Best discussion

Bronson Xerris doping ban is finished November 23, he can join a club September 23....

If Bradman still not working out do you think it's worth a punt taking on Xerri as his replacement?

Was very good player when at the sharks.
Bronson Xerris has signed with the Dogs

I’m just waiting for him to become that elite centre he showed he can be at fleeting moments. I think if he can stay on the park he will become more consistent.

Regardless of his form, whatever he achieves this year, after Friday's game vs the Dolphins and Flanno's 3x commentary error, Bradman has earned himself a new nickname in my books: The Breast.

He's one breast I'm sure we'd all love to see on show this season..!

It hasn't been commented on much because of everything else that happened in that moment, but how good was the pass from Hastings to Best against the dolphins when Hastings got Felised? Beautiful stuff and a great run from Best, just wish he'd got the ball down.
It’s that kind of **** that made me want to prise the him from the Tigers last year. I’ve seen him throw similar passes in a few games. He threw an even better one in a game against Manly where they got flogged and the player he passed it to (Talau from memory) also dropped the pill and let a chance go begging, so again no one noticed. But I did.

You need a great combination of skill and ability to read a defence to throw a ball like that. He’s a serious ****ing player. Cooper Cronk froths him on comms for a reason.

If that try from Pompey doesn’t get him working on his defence, nothing will. There’s nothing worse for a centre than being stood up one on one and beaten like that.

Hate to say it but he’s a real weak link in our side atm. Was really shakey in defence all game.

He has been good in attack this year, but his defence is not good enough.

I think it is time to give Lucas a game and to see how he goes.
Was just going to say, do we do a Dom Young and give him a game in NSW Cup to work on defence? Not the worst idea, I don’t think.

On the one hand I wouldn’t want to change outside back combos going into a game against Penrith, but on the other hand I’d hate to see what they’d do to him in current form.

Agree needs to be dropped as a wake-up call

Stats say Best made 13 tackles and missed 2. Marzhew made 0 tackles and missed 2. Hard to criticise Marzhew from the TV footage because he wasn't in the footage when big tackles needed to be made - Best was the guy showing up.
I suspect if Hunt were on that wing today, we could be picking apart the 10 or so tackles he made to find one we didn't like.
Gamble usually defends on that side, but Crossland was defending on the other side a lot, so I assume Hastings should have been there.
The review of the defence on that side won't be asking the question "why was Best beaten one on one so often?" it will be asking the question "why was Best caught one on one so often"

the warriors first try, the whole left side should share some blame, 5m out and we are still sliding back and across, the whole line was very passive. the one on one miss from the scrum in the 2nd half was terrible though, caught flat footed and beaten by a barely nrl standard centre, very dissapointing.

theres no excuse for missing one on one tackles. edge defense is about numbering up so you are one on one. the 2nd miss was not nrl standard.

im assuming hastings to the left was a move for the future, im thinking the idea may be to have friz on the right with ponga to offer some protection. its a smart move if thats the reason.
