Hey I agree, just trying to be funny
Its is a bit funny how Mann cops so much hate. Then in the next sentence all we ask of the team is to have a go and play with heart. IMO Mann always puts in maximum effort sometimes overplaying his hand.
Agree , just me trying to be funny . As I have said I think he is our best 14. If some of our more "talented" players show the same commitment & willingness to put their body on the line we would be going a lot better!

Parr is going to have a tough time trying to sell Newcastle as a viable place to improve your career as a player. Trying to attract established first graders to come here is going to be next to impossible unless we continue to pay crazy money for them. Until then we are only attracting players who can't get a start in first grade at the club they are already at. We desperately need some success this year to prove we are a viable club.

I think we will really reap the benefits of parr in the next 2 season from 2024 2025 onwards
He's only just arrived to a clear **** show
And AOB already is under the pump
With out parr being at the club. Gardiner would give aob, 10 more years.
We still would be without a halfback
We would of payed way overs for a winger, who's had 1 good season..

You seen when he came on board forced changed where made to the starting side. Simple because the comforts aob once had where no longer

So I believe we will see the benefits in the next coming seasons

I don't think Parr is far off sacking himself!
He walked into an absolute basket case ran by an absolute narcissist!
What happened to Alex McKinnon as our player recruiting person at the Knights?
He was only in the job a short time before I read he had left.
He had a good eye for talent, both here and in the UK.
There is no doubt there is a bad smell about joining the Knights from the outside atm.
Beside correcting our abysmal defence, nurturing our juniors, and our players showing 100 percent commitment, maybe doing something about the club’s overall management should be another priority.

If Parr is going to negotiate a swap for Dom Young it has to be worth $500 and be of benefit to the Knights otherwise we will look like pushovers. We need Young this year if we are to have a half decent season and I can't see any one player that will fill the void that he will leave. A rep level 1/2 or 5/8 , fullback or hooker would make a difference but I don't see Easts willing to trade the Manu or any other decent player.

Alex quit to do a psychologist course at uni get on you tube or Spotify and listen to his interview with denan Kemp he goes in depth about what he liked and disliked about it was a good listen

I have to say, he’s turned this squad around really quickly. Some very good signings without throwing the chequebook around willy nilly, and we actually have some depth these days. I’d hate to have seen the team we’ve had trotted out last year if we had this level of injuries and suspensions … and I’d have hated to see the scoreline even more!

There were some astute signings last year that seem to have helped the attitude of the squad but its really the progression of some of the juniors that have helped in the depth department.

The Randall for Marzhew swap looks like the deal of the century at this stage.

I've missed something here... Why on earth are we sacking Parr?
This was a joke thread originally hahaha.

But yeah, what a smart operator. We do still need two more forwards, but good on him for not panicking and giving a spot to any old spud. I’m still of the opinion that Marty Taupau, who’s been awesome for Brisbane, was a miss (but the player has to be someone who *wants to live in Newcastle* - who knows if Marty would have any interest at all), but other than that I don’t think there’s any reason to believe someone like current Sharon Woods would have filled in better for us than Brodie, Tom Cant etc has so far.
