Hi, Warriors here. One week to kick off. Both our teams have been written off and to be fair both are in a rebuilding phase with us hsving a new rookie coach who has the fans on board so far.

Likely starting side for us Nichol-klockstad, Watene-zelezniak, Pompey, Vailea, Montoya, Msrtin Johnson, Fonua-Blake, Egan, Barnett Niukore, Ford, Harris, Bench Walker, Currren Afoa, Ale.

Big movers in pre season, Ford Vailea, Ale. I think our forwards are OK, Webster seems to value versatility, he has even had Bunty Afoa and Tom Ale (good kid this) passing at the line making them more dangerous as bench props imo.

After a poor officiating display against the Storm I just hope the outcome is decided by the players. All the best guys

id like to see hymel come in, defensively his our best outside back imo. but he got no game time at centre from memory, it seems aob still only sees him as a winger. could always give it to young from here on out and get him to backflip on the chooks before his cooling off period ends 🤣🤣

Not having a go but there’s not a single name in that line up who fills me with fear. We really should be winning this game. If the Warriors have a good season this year, you’ve definitely got a really good coach on your hands.

To be frank I have no idea how we will go. The best thing has been more steel in defence. The teams seem to csncel each other out that I can see. Your Centres are the worry, but our guy Vailea is going go be a gun. I can see it going either wsy, which is usually how these games go.

G'day Watcher....it's been too long mate - I hope you and yours are safe and faring as well as can be expected in these difficult times for you over there. We are no strangers to the flooding here in NSW but I can see that the devastation that has been wrought on you guys has been next level apocalyptic.

Yep, we are both in the same boat regarding our need to take a major step forward to address some of the systemic issues at front and back of house, before we can really become anything like a consistently competitive team.

It's been a few years now since Robinson has become involved with the club...how is that going in terms of setting the foundations for some of the big picture changes that have needed to happen for you guys and how is the membership base going? I can't find membership numbers for the past 3 seasons but anecdotally it looks like there is a growing base of fans turning up to games.

And on a more positive note....nice start by the Black Caps this morning to have the poms 3 wickets down at lunch 😉 👍

Unfortunately no mate. To be honest the only live games I have seen were in Melbourne. I live in one of the flood affected areas and it is hosing down again so wont risk it.

From a personal point of view your Centres worry me.

Hope the floods haven't been too damaging for you. I have an older uncle up in Napier which was scary, but he was ok. And then I have a mate in Gisborne which I didn't hear from for about a week, which had me pretty worried. Not good times.
