Tigers recruitment: Mixed bag. Api & IPap obviously good. Klemmer is a mistake. Bateman is missing the whole pre-season, high chance of him being a huge bust for them. Charlie Staines is the peak of “Tigers gonna Tiger” dumb recruitment decisions.

Dolphins: Does anyone think it’s been anything but a disaster?

Warriors: Did I miss something? Shuffled a lot of deck chairs but it’s still the rugby league equivalent of The Titanic.

I actually think we are a real chance of collecting the spoon, bookies think the same also....

Hope I am completely wrong and knights kill it this year

The way the Warriors played at their trial, my only thought was If they do what they did against Round 1 we are ****ed.

The Warriors of Old was definitely on display during that trial match, we better hope that It gets coached out of them before kick off against us.

Damn they really blew the lid off that Tigers NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg lineup.

I really thought Wests beating Manly 52-18 in a trial game, in a season where Manly finished 4th and Wests 13th, would be the thing which stopped people from reading too much into pre-season form. Once again I appear to have been a bit naive.

LOL, when the bench mark that we go off are the Newcastle Knights we would be forgiven reading too much Into It Pre Season Form.

Round one only a couple of weeks away, would happily eat crow for our boys to set up a string of wins and start strong.

But from where I'm standing and going off previous history the season to me Is off to a shaky start and we haven't even got to Round one yet.
 
We’ve won in round 1 for the last 5 years straight, and won in round 2 in four out of those five years. This happened whether we won or lost the trial games. That’s the previous history.

BTW this should tell you, not only should you not read too much into trial form, you should also not read too much into early season form…

I think your missing the point that everyone Is making about the situation.

It's the same **** we gave been going through for years now, whenever I watch a Knights game I know by half time whether or not we have won the game and go do something else that Is productive Instead of wasting my time watching the second half.

I can guarantee that there are others on here that know It as well about how the season will go at this rate.

Again, hopefully I'm wrong and everything you said about reading to much Into It (which honestly I haven't) Is correct.

Highly doubt It though, there must be a black cat running through the Knights Franchise somewhere.
 
No one likes being critical of the team and we realise that one trial game doesn't define what happens for the rest of the season. But after last years terrible season both on and off the field and with new coaching staff and new key players I for one expected to see a more professional display. I would have expected better line speed in defence and attack, less errors, better fifth tackle options, better sliding defence and a better overall attitude. You would think the best way to get over last year would be to have a dominant or at least a promising display in the trial matches. The team has to get used to wining or at least expect to win every time they walk onto the field. There were some great individual efforts put in by the players which was great to see but we look like there is a lot of work still to be done.
