2022 season

He could have passed before running behind his own player or he could have run in front of his own player and he would have been tackled.
I agree with the call.

I don't. It's up too South's defenders to get back onside and put themselves into a position to defend. They didn't and never were. Panthers advantage not South's. That rule is just a rediculous pisstake.

This has been an incredibly intense game.

Souths clearly weren’t listening when everyone said (myself included) that they wouldn’t be able to compete in the arm wrestle.

Boy did Penrith need that.

Cleary big brained it starting Kenny, they were so clunky with the ball early on. They’re going to miss Api big time next year.

Back in the days before the bunker it would have been given and nobody would ever have even thought twice about it, no matter how many replays they watched. It's the sort of thing I wish they'd just let the on-field ref handle.

I think clearlys kicking game hasn't really been on point. Especially long. End over end bombs or his "aerial assault" going not far. If they catch them it's no advantage to Penrith. South's been great at getting over the ad line.

Souths may have just cost themselves the game with that.

They were so on top physically and instead of continuing to keep the heat on they’ve played way too lateral and expansive.

They had them. They really did.

Always felt like Penrith had that in them, they blew about three or four tries that half.

But when Souths are in the wrestle they're dominating. They need to try and cut out those errors and play it set for set.

Penrith get the same amount of opportunities in the second half and they win.

Very quick game, Origin-like intensity.

Cleary’s kicking has emphasised forcing results this year more than playing for field position (which he’s done a lot this year, I guess because they’re so dominant they’re happy to take more risks) and I think Souths are a team where you wanna focus on the latter. Keep them out of your 20 at all costs. Will be interesting to see if there’s an adjustment at half time.

Souths were well on top and will be very unhappy with their decision making in the last 10 minutes of that half.

Even when your forwards dominate that scary Panthers pack, Edwards and To’o will make up the difference and then some. What a team.
