Agreed but 3-6 weeks still doesn't look too good.

Also Toohey saying Shibasaki will be called into the side.

If that's the case then Shibs is the right call. I don't want to see anyone get a top grade jumper they haven't earned anymore. But if Young was considered ready to go, a home game with all the focus on a 300 gamer would be ideal. We've lost strike in Best, maybe Young could pick up some of the slack at right centre. Happy to pick the better defender though.

They have had Young working with the firstgrade team for the last 2 weeks - possibly in case Best and Toa dropped out, but they are looking for a chance to use him.
I actually think he was more of a chance before Best was injured. They'll want to bring him in with as little pressure as possible.

I really fear for Best. So many sports have seen young guys with amazing potential never come close to fulfilling it due to injuries. I hope he doesn’t spend more time on the sidelines than playing but it certainly is looking that way. Sigh.

That’s promising but we’ll still struggle to justify what I imagine may be a burgeoning price tag if he’s playing 10-12 games a year. Scary stats you threw out there.
