It’s got nothing to do with losing. The short turnaround isn’t ideal obviously, I was just commenting on the inconsistency of the media who are wanking on about the Roosters having a only 4 days between games when we are in the exact same situation.

I have no idea why the media would be focusing on a game between the two best teams in the comp where one of them is in the unprecedented situation of a four day turnaround.

Meanwhile we're playing the ****ty broncos on a five day turnaround which happens all the time. Front page news.
 
Bugger the media. They only do their bit to get headlines. All we need to do is focus on beating the Broncos and all will be swell.

The turn around is the same for both sides.

Despite all the babble of Nick wanting the points reset there was no mention of the Roosters soft start to the draw to get them up to speed in the wins department. Meanwhile all the teams at the top pretty much played other top teams and had tougher draws over a three week period.

This is true, not to mention all the players that got injured in rounds 1 and 2.

It's a funny feeling, starting favourites in a game that matters, now that we are actual contenders.
I'm more nervous about this game than I've been for nearly any game in the last 4 or 5 years.
 
I was reading about this game and read "can the Broncos cause an upset".

Kind of nice to be a team if beaten was considered an upset for a change.

Whatever the result tonight, I hope we compete hard and don't give in. As long as they keep competing every week and maintain that focus, the wins should take care of themselves.

Same, that Broncos side all of a sudden looks 10 foot tall and bullet proof. Tonight might tell us more than last week did about where we are at.

It's kinda like what we did to the Raiders is what the storm did too us. Hopefully the boys bounce back into winning the ruck. If so it'll take care of itself.
 
In truth, this is the first real test for Obi as a coach - how he gets the team to respond after their first loss.

I'm confident he definitely has the ability to turn around last week's start and have them jumping out of their skin tonight....what it will come down for us is going to be completions.

If we get anywhere near 80% we should win this in a canter but if we don't control possession and sit below 60% completions we will leave ourselves open to having to grind and arm wrestle a team that is likely to be desperate and can put us under pressure. We may still win but how easy will be based on how well we control the ball.

Thanks for that, hope he is as good as he was against the storm. Will tear the Bronx edge apart.

Hopefully TPJ is really fired up for this one and gets himself in trouble, plays with too much emotion rather than tearing us apart.
