Toohey's News

If Cordner is on 800k for the next 5 years, I'd like to see us get to around 450-500k for Fitz with clauses like Ponga if he makes rep squads. This kid is a god damn machine.

I think I said when we signed Simon Woolford that it would be a good thing if he brought his son with him, but the kid signed with Canterbury.

I became a fan of Zac Woolford when our under 20s would play Canberra, and it would seem a pretty even contest till Woolford decided to pull something special out of the hat and win them the game.
He isn't your typical hooker. He has vision, a kicking game, and he has a running game that isn't just sprints out of dummy half. He will get involved like a 5/8 if that is what is needed to win a game.
I'm not sure Brown will like the idea of a hooker who goes off script a lot - he doesn't like it when Levi does - but Woolford has skills he pulls out good times to win matches. I suspect Brown will beat that out of him.

I don't think Brown would have any problem with the way Levi plays IF Levi didn't make poor decisions at vital times of games I think that's the only problem Brown has with Levi .

Its funny, up till rd20 ish a lot on here still thought we could make the finals and here we are screaming for more players as the current lot from last year were not good enough.

How could a poor coach have a poor roster yet still give it a decent shack for a decent part if the season with a team he's still building? Blows my mind

Ahh well 88 you know here ~ better to whinge and scream rather than THINK THINGS THROUGH.

Any luck this last year such as Pearce, Ponga, Moga, Griffin and Watson not going down we bolt in the bottom part of the eight.

See that's where we differ because I think Brown is doing a great job as coach ..

I don't get how this can be argued, his win record is horrific and that is what a coach is judged on, sure he hasn't had the cattle, but you can't say he can coach yet.

That will be shown one way or the other this year as all excuses are gone.

Imagine how good we would've went if he coached them to defend.

He's win record here is poor do to the roster and mess he took on,
Look at the total career of his coaching and its a solid record.
